Vivienda vacacional La Laguna Deluxe 9 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Vivienda vacacional La Laguna Deluxe 9 on Calle Pablo Iglesias, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in this UNESCO World Heritage city. The four-star property sits perfectly in La Laguna’s historic heart, where cobblestone streets meet colonial architecture — honestly, it’s one of those locations that makes you feel like you’re staying in a living museum rather than just another rental. The building itself blends seamlessly with the neighborhood’s character, which I really appreciated since so many places try too hard to stand out.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally in the middle of everything that makes La Laguna worth visiting. The university is practically around the corner, so there’s this vibrant energy during the day, but it settles into something more peaceful by evening. You can walk to the cathedral in about five minutes, and the main shopping streets are right there when you need them. What’s particularly nice is how couples seem to gravitate toward this area (they rate the location 8.2, which honestly makes sense when you experience those evening strolls through the historic center). The recent guest rating of 8.9 for location tells the whole story — you’re not just staying somewhere, you’re staying in the right somewhere.
The Space
The apartment itself feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together like some vacation rentals. Everything has this refined, upscale touch without being stuffy — you know what I mean, where you can actually relax without worrying about touching anything. The layout works well whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or need space to spread out, and there’s something satisfying about having your own kitchen when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local markets. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between comfort and style, which isn’t as easy to achieve as it sounds.
Daily Life Here
What really won me over was how natural it felt to settle into a routine here. Mornings mean stepping out for coffee at one of the nearby cafés (the locals have their favorites, and you’ll quickly discover yours), then maybe wandering through the historic streets before the day gets too warm. The university area brings a nice mix of students and locals, so you get authentic Canarian life rather than just tourist scenes. Evenings are particularly lovely — there’s something magical about watching La Laguna come alive as the sun sets, especially when you can retreat to your own comfortable space whenever you want.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.1 overall rating doesn’t happen by accident, and after staying here, I get it completely. It’s the combination of being in such a culturally rich location while having a genuinely comfortable, well-appointed place to call home during your visit. You’re not sacrificing anything for the prime location — the space delivers on comfort and style. Plus, there’s something special about staying in a place where couples consistently rave about the romantic atmosphere, but solo travelers and friends feel equally at home. La Laguna itself is often overshadowed by other Canarian destinations, but honestly, that just means you get to experience this incredible historic city without the crowds.
Exploring Tenerife layers lava-sculpted beaches, subtropical forests, and Guanche heritage stories.

Everything was great, apartment is fully equipped with everything you need, bath things, all the dishes, spices, oil, coffee, tea etc. Spacious living room. Roof top is great though we came there only once 🙂 close to the bus station and easy to go for some hikes which we did.

Robin from Australia (9/10)
We especiallyiked the cleaness of the apartment, the king sized bed, the good location for exploring the Island (close to the highway) and the roof top
Sandra from United Kingdom (9/10)
Such a fantastic location – close to the historic centre and very close to the tram station. We took the tram to Santa Vruz one day and then along to the Science Museum the next.
Peter from Spain (9/10)
This is a truly comfortable apartment, at least when traveling at mild temperatures, spacey, overall well-equipped with a nice bedroom and during our stay very quiet at night. Having a bit of salt, pepper, oil, etc. was very convenient, the offered niceties a pleasant touch. Overall, the kitchen is well equipped, with just enough for two people. We did not need it this time, but having a washing and drying option in house can be very useful.
For our needs the location was perfect, a few minutes walk to the historical old town and similarly close to the university. There are multiple shopping options nearby. Public transport is really nearby as well. We took a rental car for the weekend to explore more of Tenerife and always found a parking option close by, although not always in viewing distance. For larger cars you might want to consider taking the paid parking option.
Overall, we will definitely check this apartment as first option when returning to La Laguna.Muvumba from Germany (10/10)
