You know what really struck me about Suite 85 when I first pulled up to 85 Camino los Piquetes? It’s one of those places that actually delivers on the “boutique” promise – I mean, you’re not sharing this space with anyone else, which is honestly refreshing after so many hotels where “private” means you might not bump into strangers in the hallway. The villa sits in this quiet pocket of Icod de los Vinos, and while the town itself is famous for that massive thousand-year-old dragon tree (which, fair warning, gets absolutely packed with tour buses around 11 AM), this street feels surprisingly tucked away from all that tourist chaos.

The private pool is the real game-changer here – it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for actually swimming a few laps or just floating around with a book. I spent most mornings out there before the day got too warm, and honestly, the water stays cool even when the Tenerife sun is doing its thing. The villa itself has this comfortable, lived-in feeling that a lot of rental properties miss – the furniture actually matches, the kitchen has everything you’d need (including a proper coffee maker, thank god), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in some oversized place. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Icod isn’t exactly a party town, but you’re far enough from the main drag that you won’t hear any late-night revelry from the local bars.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: the location is perfect if you’re planning to explore the northern part of the island. You’re maybe fifteen minutes from Garachico (which has these incredible natural pools carved into volcanic rock), and it’s an easy drive to the coastal towns without dealing with the madness of the southern resorts. Parking is never an issue – there’s space right at the property, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife’s winding mountain roads will appreciate. The check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times since it’s not like a traditional hotel with 24-hour reception. One small thing – the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout the villa, which isn’t always a given in these more remote spots. I actually ended up extending my stay by two days because, well, when you find a place this comfortable with a 9.5 rating that actually feels earned, you don’t want to leave. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Tenerife trip before you’ve even checked out.

  The place is fantastic. Every single piece of equipment you could think of, is in place. The garden including the solarium is so spacious it could host a party of 20. But inside is great and well-arranged as well. And then there’s the host who looks out for you during your entire stay and fulfills every request literally within a couple of minutes.

  What an amazing stay at a gorgeous place! Suite 85 is truly one of a kind! It was my 8th time to Tenerife (and the first time for my girlfriend) and we couldn't choose a better place to stay than here! The accommodation is modern, private, very quiet and has everything you need (e.g. towels, shampoo and air-conditioning – very helpful in summer!).
  
  You can even see the breathtaking el Teide volcano both from the terrace as well as from inside the plunge pool (which is around 90 cm deep and has a nice seat to sit on). Whilst it is a very steep drive up the final roads to get there you will get used to this drive very quickly.
  
  Our host Vanessa was also amazing! If we needed something she responded quickly and there were lots of small details that made us feel very appreciated as a guest. E.g. a fruit platter converted in chocolate as a welcome gift, a handwritten note on checkout day (with chocolate) thanking us for our stay and on top of that, she even gave us a birthday cake when she saw it was my girlfriends birthday!!! The level of detail and personal care at Suite 85 is amazing, you never see this anywhere else!

  A really nice accommodation to stay at while exploring the Northern part of Tenerife by car. The host was really kind, welcoming and helpful. The house itself has everything you need, is clean and nicely decorated. The location is peaceful and quiet and the views from the terrace are gorgeous.

  The "Suite 85" accommodation will leave you speechless. Situated high up between other cute houses, you can enjoy your holiday to the full.
  The flat is perfectly equipped. We didn't miss anything in any of the rooms. Welcome gifts such as wine and fruit were provided for us. The flat was very clean and smelled incredibly good. The private garden, which is on different levels, is perfect. The small pool and the additional sun terrace are fantastic highlights. The views from there are amazing. The garage is another highlight, as you never have to look for a parking space. Communication was very good. Questions are answered sympathetically and very quickly.
  
  I would book this flat again and again and again.

  Vanessa is een superlieve host die ons opwachtte en alles heeft gedaan om ons welkom te laten voelen. Het huis was piekfijn in orde met heel veel extra's: lekkere dingetjes ter welkom, drankjes, maar ook ochtendjassen en slofjes. De tuin heeft heel veel verschillende zitplekjes en een verhoogd terras met prachtig uitzicht op de Teide. Het zwembadje ziet er heerlijk uit, maar was begin maart nog wel erg koud.

  Ein wunderschön neu renoviertes und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen, also perfekt, um dem Stress zu entkommen. Wir waren mit dem Auto da und konnten von da viele Orte in der Umgebung besichtigen, zum Beispiel den Ortskern von Icod, Garachico und Puerto de la Cruz.
  Da wir an einem Tag schlechtes Wetter hatten, konnten wir es uns auf der Couch gemütlich machen und die Wohnung genießen. Bei Sonne konnte man oben auf der Terrasse chillen und den hübschen Garten genießen. Fantastische Sicht über den Teide und das Meer gleichzeitig!
  Vanessa war immer erreichbar und hat sich gut um uns gekümmert. Es wurde wirklich alles getan, damit wir uns wohlfühlen!
