The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be where the action is. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the main strip where all the bars and restaurants are, and the beach – well, you can practically roll out of bed and be on the sand in five minutes. What I really appreciated was that despite being so central, they’ve managed to create these little pockets of calm. The pool area gets this gorgeous afternoon sun, and honestly, that’s where you’ll probably spend most of your time if you’re not exploring. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – nothing fancy, but they’re clean, the AC works (crucial in summer), and the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed in places where the mattress felt like cardboard, but this wasn’t one of them.

Now, the 7.3 rating might make you think it’s just okay, but I think that’s a bit unfair. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, and the breakfast could use some work – typical hotel continental stuff, nothing to write home about. But what it does well is give you a proper base in the heart of everything without the chaos that usually comes with that territory. The staff actually seem to know what they’re doing, check-in was smooth, and they’ve got that local knowledge thing down – they’ll point you toward the better tapas places that aren’t total tourist traps. Plus, parking isn’t a nightmare here, which anyone who’s driven around Playa de las Americas will tell you is basically a miracle. If you’re looking for somewhere to crash between beach days and nights out, or you just want to people-watch from a pool lounger while being steps away from decent food and drinks, this place hits that sweet spot between location and sanity.
