Frontline Beach Apartment Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Frontline Beach Apartment, I’ll be honest — the name doesn’t quite capture what you’re getting here. This four-star property sits right on Carretera de las Gaviotas in San Andrés, and the moment you step out of your car (which you can park for free right on site, by the way), you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special. The building itself has that clean, modern Spanish coastal vibe, but what really hits you is how close you actually are to the water. I mean, we’re talking frontline here — no exaggeration.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what makes this spot so perfect? It’s positioned right at Playa Chica, which honestly feels like one of Tenerife’s best-kept secrets. The beach here isn’t packed with tourists like some of the more famous stretches — it’s got this quieter, more intimate feel that couples absolutely love (and the 9.9 location rating from couples proves it). San Andrés itself is this charming fishing village that hasn’t been completely overtaken by resort development, so you get authentic Canarian life mixed with easy beach access. The local restaurants are within walking distance, and there’s something really nice about being able to grab fresh fish for dinner without having to drive anywhere.

The Apartment Experience

What I really appreciated about Frontline Beach Apartment is how it strikes this balance between hotel service and apartment independence. The units are spacious and well-appointed — definitely upscale without being stuffy. You’ve got proper kitchen facilities, which is fantastic when you want to pick up some local produce at the market and cook with a view. The furnishings feel contemporary and comfortable, not like someone’s leftover furniture from 1995. And honestly, the fact that recent guests rated the overall experience at 8.9 tells you they’re doing something right with the details.

The Beach Access

Here’s where this place really shines — that frontline location isn’t just marketing speak. You’re literally steps from Playa Chica, and this beach has character. The sand is that distinctive dark volcanic sand you get in the Canaries, and the water stays pretty calm thanks to the natural protection of the bay. I spent hours just watching the local fishermen work from the shore, and there’s something incredibly relaxing about having this kind of authentic beach experience right outside your door. The swimming is excellent, and you don’t have to fight for space like you would at some of the bigger resort beaches.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to this place — and what earned it that impressive 9.3 location rating — is the combination of genuine beachfront access with real local flavor. You’re not stuck in some isolated resort bubble; you’re actually staying in a proper Canarian fishing village with all the benefits that brings. The free parking is a huge bonus (trust me, you’ll appreciate this when you’re exploring the island), and the apartment setup means you can really settle in and live like a local for a few days. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

Hotel in Tenerife reservations spike before Semana Santa when processions wind through La Laguna’s cobbled streets.

If you want to escape from the hustle, the location of the apartment is perfect! The apartment is clean, cozy and fully equipped. The balcony is wonderful!!! It was really nice to hear the ocean through the open window. The private beach is safe and ideal for kids. The communication with the host is easy and warm.

Amazing place. Building is partly inside the rock and a lift will bring you to your own black sand beach on the 1st floor. Whole ocean is yours and available 24/7. City with a lot of cafe shops and another great beach is nearby. One of the most unusual place I've ever lived.

  • Catalin from United Kingdom (9/10)

Amazing views. Quiet and safe. Plenty of parking space and lovely beach.

  • Arinbjörn from Iceland (9/10)

Very nice appartment. Hard to beat this location. Very secluded and peaceful. There are no stores or resturants there. Only this appartment building so make sure to bring what you need. There is a town close by but the drive is a bit scary. If you want to relax this is perfect. There is also another beach in walking distance to the south that the locals use and is very nice

Exceptional location, outstanding views, next to beach, in mountains region. Quiet, with tranqulising noise of the waves. What to expect more – just excellent. Roomy property with literally everything you need for 1-2 week stay, just fill up fridge. And by the way, all complaints about a bit wear of rooms, and bit hazy windows? Yes, it is due to salt conditions, this is sea around, so.. Admire interesting architecture of the hotel literally built in rocks, beauty of the beach and sea. Relax, this is really exceptional place to stay, far away from touristic crowded combos in "Playas .." (you know where). A must place to be in Tenerife.

We loved the location, private beach with free beach equipment. An opportunity to enjoy a meal on the ocean shore!
