Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Hacienda Camino de La Cruzada? The absolute quiet. I mean, Los Silos isn’t exactly a party town to begin with, but this place sits on this little road that feels like it’s tucked away from everything – yet you’re actually just a few minutes’ walk from the town center. It’s one of those spots where you can hear the Atlantic in the distance but you’re not dealing with the usual coastal hotel chaos.
The building itself has this authentic Canarian vibe that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. They’ve clearly put thought into maintaining the traditional architecture while making sure everything actually works properly (the Wi-Fi is solid, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, that sort of thing). The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – not flashy, but everything’s where it should be. I particularly appreciated the little touches like proper reading lights and enough outlets for all your devices. The bathrooms are modern but they fit the overall aesthetic, and honestly, the water pressure is better than what you’ll find at most places in the Canary Islands.
What really sets this place apart is how the staff actually knows the area. When I asked about hiking trails – because let’s be honest, that’s why most people end up in Los Silos – they didn’t just hand me a generic brochure. They gave me specific directions to lesser-known paths and warned me about which ones get muddy after rain. The breakfast (when I bothered to get up early enough) showcased local ingredients, and they’re happy to pack you something if you’re heading out on a day trip. Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the northwestern coast without the crowds you get in Puerto de la Cruz or further south. The drive to Garachico takes maybe ten minutes, and you can reach some incredible natural pools that most tourists never find. Parking is never an issue here, which is honestly a relief after dealing with the narrow streets in some of the other towns. The whole experience just feels… genuine, I guess? Like they’re running a hotel because they care about it, not because it’s just a business. With a 9.7 rating, I expected it to be good, but I didn’t expect it to feel this authentic.

We loved staying in this beautiful and calm hacienda!
The nature, the hiking and the charco's on this side of the island are amazing. The pool area is quiet and perfect to cool down on a hot day. Emilio had great recommendations for places to eat!Sofie from Belgium (10/10)
We stayed at casa Vicente, nice decorated house, with good beds and well equiped kitchen. We enjoyed the swimming pool, also for kids (steps).

If you search for a unique and comfortable booking this hacienda is for you. We've found there a very nice climate with a stylish (well renovated) house, nice area with swimming pool and intimacy (every house is separated from other), and finally the fantastic surroundings with fields of banana trees, mountains…sea in a few kilometers distance.
Owners are very friendly and helpful. We could always rely on them.Diana from Portugal (10/10)
The property is beautiful and the hosts very helpful! It is perfect if you want to have some calm days and be surrounded by nature. There is a little swimming pool also available where you can relax a bit whenever you want.

Very cozy apartment, beautifully decorated. Emilio is extremely friendly and helpful. The two bathrooms are very convenient. The towels in the bathroom are even more comfortable than what we had in a 5-star hotel. The apartment made us feel at home.
