O7 Tenerife Overview

First Impressions

Walking into O7 Tenerife, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property knows exactly what it’s doing. The lobby has this clean, contemporary feel without being sterile — there’s warmth in the design that makes you feel like you’re somewhere special, not just another tourist hotel. What struck me right away was how the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see guests arrive, which honestly isn’t always a given in Puerto de la Cruz. The whole place has this refined atmosphere that feels upscale but never intimidating.

Prime Puerto de la Cruz Position

The location on La Haya street is actually brilliant — you’re close enough to the action but far enough away that you won’t be dealing with late-night noise from the main tourist strips. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot 8.2 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to the famous black sand beaches of Playa Jardín in about ten minutes, and the charming old town center with its traditional Canarian architecture is just as close. What’s really nice is that you’re positioned perfectly for exploring both the coastal attractions and the lush botanical gardens that make this part of Tenerife so special.

The Rooms

The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. My room had these lovely touches that reminded me I was in the Canary Islands — not just generic hotel furniture that could be anywhere in Europe. The beds are genuinely comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. The bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure, which might sound basic but it’s something you definitely notice when it’s done right.

Breakfast Experience

The breakfast setup here is where O7 Tenerife really shows its quality. They offer both continental and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on your mood or plans for the day. What I appreciated was the inclusion of local specialties alongside the standard international fare — you’ll find proper Spanish cheeses and regional fruits that actually taste like something. The dining area has natural light and doesn’t feel cramped, so even when it’s busy, you’re not fighting for elbow room or waiting forever for the coffee machine.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something to be said for a hotel that consistently delivers without trying to be flashy about it. O7 Tenerife has figured out that travelers want reliability, comfort, and a genuine sense of place — and they deliver on all three. The combination of that excellent location (seriously, couples have it right with that 8.2 rating), thoughtful service, and well-maintained facilities creates an experience that feels both polished and authentic. You’re not paying for unnecessary frills, but you’re getting everything you actually need for a memorable stay in Puerto de la Cruz. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself already planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

  • Kittson from United Kingdom (7/10)

The location was fantastic for what we wanted! And the views around the property were stunning. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s not in the centre of town this is the perfect place to be.

You have the perfect view of Mount Teide from the poolside, along with some stunning parakeets that fly around the palm trees. It’s the perfect place to relax.

There is a pool however it’s not heated and was very very cold, but of course we can’t complain too much about a very refreshing cold swim on a hot day.

  • Aidan from Ireland (7/10)

The hotel was clean and bedroom comfortable. The location was good. A steep walk down to the centre and beech but it was fine.

  • Dimka from Ireland (9/10)

We got room with a great view.
Friendly staf. WiFi signal was good. Wide variety of meals. Unlimited water from dispenser.

  • Wai from Belgium (8/10)

Great views from the balcony for the superior room, could see both the sea as well as Mt Teide. The room was also newly renovated so it looked modern and comfortable. Providing a jug for the self-service water fountains on each floor was an innovative and environmentally-friendly feature. The location was very close to the bus station, making it convenient to visit all attractions such as Santa Cruz, Mt Teide, etc.
