The address might look confusing (all those numbers and letters), but honestly, that’s just how Spanish apartment buildings work. Once you find C. Tinguafaya, you’ll spot it easily enough. I mean, it’s not like you’re hunting through some massive hotel complex with identical buildings everywhere.

The thing about Chayofa is that it sits in this sweet spot between the tourist madness of Los Cristianos and the authentic Canarian villages up in the hills. You’re actually staying in a proper vacation rental – think spacious apartment rather than cramped hotel room – which makes all the difference when you want to spread out or cook something simple instead of eating out every single meal. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but everything works properly and the place is genuinely comfortable. That 9.1 rating makes sense too – people appreciate the space and the fact that you can live a bit more like a local here.

What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main coastal road that you don’t get the constant hum of traffic, but close enough that you can still walk to restaurants and shops without needing to drive everywhere. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – you’ll see Spanish families going about their daily routines, kids playing in the streets during the evening hours when it cools down. Parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in the resort areas either, which honestly is half the battle won if you’re renting a car to explore the island. The whole Chayofa area feels like where you’d actually want to live if you moved to Tenerife, not just visit for a week – and that’s exactly what makes it work so well as a base. You get the authenticity without sacrificing convenience, plus you’re still just a quick drive down to the beaches when you want that classic Canarian coastal experience.

  How fresh the apartment is and the lovely spacious balcony where you can relax. very peaceful place
  
  What could be improved: The shower leaks water all over bathroom floor plus no atractor fan in there so it gets very steamy.How dangerous the roads are to get bus into town.

  Nos encantó nuestra estancia en este apartamento. Estaba muy bien equipado, no le faltaba de nada: desde utensilios de cocina hasta pequeños detalles que hacen la diferencia. Todo muy limpio y cuidado. El ambiente era muy tranquilo y relajado, ideal para desconectar. Sin duda, repetiríamos.
  Además la anfitriona fue encantadora desde el primer momento y siempre estuvo pendiente de que no nos faltara de nada.

  Ottimo alloggio situato in un residence con piscina, l'appartamento è dotato di tutti i confort, è presene ance un BBC sul balcone. La cucina ha stoviglie, posate e pentole per 4 persone e tutto il necessario per poter cucinare e soggiornare. Consiglio vivamente.
  
  What could be improved: Nonostante apprezzi particolarmente sia l'alloggio che l'host, (ogni volta torno sempre qui) l'unica pecca è la doccia dalla quale esce un po d'acqua durate l'utilizzo. Per il resto tutto otiimo.
