Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Vistamar on Calle La Amistad, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. Las Eras isn’t exactly a tourist hotspot that most people stumble upon, which is sort of the point. You’re getting that authentic Canarian experience without the cruise ship crowds that flood other parts of the island.
The hotel itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciated. You know what I mean – it’s not trying too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top decor. The rooms are genuinely comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly, the views from most rooms make you understand why they chose the name Vistamar. I mean, you’re looking out over landscapes that feel untouched, with the kind of light that makes you want to just sit on your balcony with coffee way longer than you planned. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure you had what you needed, not just going through the motions – there’s something refreshing about that level of attention without being suffocating.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits in Las Eras. You’re close enough to explore the real Tenerife – the hiking trails locals actually use, the family-run restaurants where they don’t automatically hand you an English menu, the kind of spots where you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Parking was never an issue (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re exploring the island), and the nights are properly quiet. Not dead silent, but that peaceful kind of quiet where you can actually hear the breeze and maybe some distant conversation from the terrace below. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not perfect, but it gets the important stuff right. I’d definitely go back, and I’m someone who usually tries new places just to see what’s out there.

We had an amazing 4 nights stay at this apartment! The swimming pool was fantastic, and the sea view made everything feel so peaceful and relaxing. The apartment itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped. I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway.
Adam from Czech Republic (9/10)
Great view, no problems with parking, very nice property, surprisingly quiet considering it is quite close to the highway, walkable distance to the non-touristy Santa Ursula. The host (Maria) was very reactive and immediately resolved issues we had (internet connection). Be ready to use a translator as the host does not speak a lot of English but is very friendly and helpful!
Isabelle from Belgium (9/10)

The apartment Panorama, that we stayed in, even if not very much updated was a veeeery comfortable one. The location is quiet, close to supermarket, chilly during the night, the view is amazing and compensated for all the potential minuses that we found. We had a great staying, relaxed, slept extremely well, enjoyed family time on the terrace and in the pool but also very good location for discovering the north of the island. for sure would take into account for next trip.
Marlies from Austria (9/10)
– Location is 12/10: it’s calm and fresh ocean air; beach, supermarket and autopista is close; parking lots in front of the accommodation; all (non)touristic places are close, you are in the central northern region, about 2h to airport south
– the view is amazing: Teide, Beach/Seafront, and City view – all in one
– equipped with everything you need, especially for cooking and dining
– garden and pool area is 12/10, nice plants and well maintained, so relaxing!
