When I first pulled up to Villa Saona Golf, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the exterior — it’s tucked away on a quiet residential street in San Miguel de Abona. But you know what? Location & Setting

San Miguel de Abona isn’t exactly a tourist hotspot, which is actually part of its charm. You’re about 15 minutes from the airport (super handy for those early flights), but far enough away that you won’t hear planes overhead. The golf course is literally right there — I mean, you can see the greens from some of the windows. What I really appreciated was the parking situation; having your own guaranteed spot when you’re exploring Tenerife by car is honestly a game-changer. The location works especially well for couples, and I can see why — it’s peaceful without being isolated.

The Accommodation

My room was spacious and modern, with that clean Canarian style that doesn’t try too hard. The balcony overlooked the golf course, and there’s something really calming about watching people play their rounds in the morning with your coffee. The beds are proper comfortable — not too soft, not too firm — and the air conditioning actually works well, which you’ll definitely need in summer. I particularly liked how quiet everything was; you’d never guess you’re this close to the main tourist areas.

Activities & Surroundings

If you’re into golf, well, you’ve hit the jackpot here. The course is right on your doorstep, and it’s a decent one too — not championship level, but perfectly enjoyable for a holiday round. What surprised me was how easy it was to get to the coast for windsurfing and fishing. The staff actually gave me some solid local tips about where to rent gear and which spots have the best conditions. Even if you’re not particularly sporty, just being able to walk around the golf course in the evening is pretty relaxing.

Honestly, it’s the combination of peace and accessibility that makes this place work so well. You get that resort-like feeling without the crowds and noise, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters.   This was an absolutely amazing stay. If you have an opportunity to stay hear take it and don’t miss out. House is stunning, hosts are amazing people who never took more than 1 minute to respond to any questions. Pool is perfect for young kids as it’s heated. Nice quiet community with easy access to good restaurants via foot or short drive. Close to motorway that gives you access to all the other tourist areas within 10-15 min drive. Highly recommended.

  The property was modern, clean and very spacious. The outside area and pool was the highlight. Perfect pool for our 2 children. We had a wonderful 11 night stay in this beautiful villa. Hosts were very responsive and nothing was too much, they were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The villa is situated on a quiet road on a lovely golf resort with easy access to the little supermarket/bars and restaurants (all within walking distance)

  Everything was great, the owners are very responsive and the house has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable, you could sleep well. We had a great rest. I would recommend renting a car, then you can go everywhere perfectly. There are restaurants and shops nearby
