Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa Oasis La Paz on Camino la Costa, I wasn’t expecting much from the street view. It’s tucked away from the main tourist drag, which actually turned out to be one of its best features. The Pelicar Apartment sits in this quiet residential area where you can actually hear the ocean instead of just traffic, and honestly, that’s half the battle in Puerto de la Cruz. The building itself has that classic Canarian architecture thing going on – you know, the kind with the wooden balconies and local stone that doesn’t scream “tourist trap” from a mile away.

What really won me over was how they’ve managed to nail that adults-only vibe without making it feel stuffy or pretentious. I mean, there’s something to be said for not having to dodge pool noodles or listen to kids shrieking at 7 AM when you’re trying to enjoy your cortado on the terrace. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – I was expecting typical European cramped quarters, but there’s actually room to spread out. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters when you want to grab some fresh fish from the Puerto market (about a 10-minute walk down the hill) and cook it yourself. The bathroom’s one of those modern setups that actually has decent water pressure – trust me, after a day of hiking around Teide, you’ll appreciate not having to stand under a dribbling showerhead.

The location is sort of perfect if you know Puerto de la Cruz at all. You’re close enough to walk to the Lago Martiánez pools when you want that scene, but far enough up the hill that you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist zone. There’s this little local bar about two blocks away – can’t remember the name, but they do proper tapas and the locals actually hang out there, which is always a good sign. Parking was surprisingly easy, by the way – I was dreading the usual Spanish coastal parking nightmare, but there’s street parking that’s not too competitive. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury resort level, but it delivers on what it promises. The WiFi actually works (shocking, I know), the place is clean without being sterile, and the terrace views toward the ocean are genuinely nice, especially in the evening when the light hits just right. Only minor complaint would be that the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a late night, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for this type of place. If you’re looking for something authentic without the backpacker hostel vibe, this hits that sweet spot.

  The views from the apartment were great. Very relaxing place to stay at.

  L’appartement, bien agencé, très lumineux, possède un tout petit balcon orienté Nord (place pour uniquement 2 chaises) d’où l’on a une vue imprenable sur l’océan. Le quartier est agréable et l’on trouve relativement facilement à se garer.
  
  What could be improved: L’accueil et la prise en compte des réclamations par l’agence qui gère les locations ou par la propriétaire qui habite au dessus laisse fortement a désirer.
  Nous avions 2 petites couettes individuelles ( comme en Allemagne) d’épaisseurs différentes sur notre lit double, nous avions froid.
  Nous avons donc demandé une grande couette pour un grand lit double. Nous avons du renouveler notre réclamation cinq jours de suite avant d’avoir enfin satisfaction. Nous avons pu dormir confortablement les 2 dernières nuits seulement sur 7 nuits.
  Un vrai manque de prise en compte du client.

  Kleines Appartement an der Steilküste von Puero de la Cruz mit schönem Meerblick und kleinem Balkon. Im gemeinschaftlichen Garten gibt es einen Pool und Liegemöglichkeiten. Bequeme Betten, Küchenzeile mit allem, was man braucht, Bad mit Dusche. Auf dem Tisch als Willkommen eine Flasche Wein. Unkomplizierter Kontakt zur Hausverwaltung. In der Umgebung viele Bars und einfache Gaststätten. Zur Stadt bitte läuft man ca. 15 Minuten. Parken erfordert manchmal etwas Geduld.
  
  What could be improved: Der Zugang über Codeschlösser ist Geschmackssache und fehleranfällig. (Danke für die schnelle Hilfe). Das Appartement liegt eher im Schatten. Die Abflüsse sind entweder unterdimensioniert oder verstopft.

  Die Lage der Unterkunft ist toll. Direkter Blick auf das Meer. Eine unfassbare Ruhe und man hört nur die Wellen des Ozean rauschen.
  
  What could be improved: Kleines Manko bei der Wohnung Pelicar ist der Duschvorhang im Badezimmer und das für uns nicht so ganz bequeme Bett.

  Las vistas. La decoración. La ubicación excelentes. La atención del personal muy buena!!
  
  What could be improved: La limpieza… las toallas estaban húmedas y la alfombra del baño sucia olía fatal, tuvimos que pedir que la cambiaran. Cuando nos dieron nuevas también olían regular… ademas el lavabo del aseo estaba atascado, aunque vinieron a arreglarlo inmediatamente. El Wi-fi no funcionaba tras reiniciarlo varias veces y la tele solo captaba antena alemana.

  Für uns war es der erste Urlaub auf Teneriffa und wir sind absolut begeistert. Nach einem Flug und einer Fahrt vom Süden in den Norden beginnt der Urlaub, wenn man nur die Tür zum Gelände öffnet. Man wird von Palmen, Blumen, dem Meer und einem wunderschönen Pool begrüßt.
  
  Eine wunderschöne Wohnung, mit einem süßen Balkon und einer gut ausgestatteten Küche.
  
  Die Wohnung ist super sauber.
  
  Die zwei großen Hotels in der Nachbarschaft hört man nicht mehr, sobald man den Garten betreten hat. So ist es insgesamt sehr ruhig.
  
  Diese Unterkunft ist gut geeignet für Gäste die Nachts auch gerne etwas Ruhe haben und abschalten wollen.
  
  Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und bereits für kommendes Jahr wieder gebucht!
