But that’s actually part of its charm, because you’re staying where real people live, not in some sterile hotel district.

The whole setup is interesting – it’s basically a luxury apartment that’s been turned into guest accommodation, and whoever designed the interior clearly knew what they were doing. The space feels genuinely upscale without being stuffy, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re only about a 10-minute drive from the madness of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas. Chayofa sits up in the hills a bit, so you get this nice elevated feel without the constant buzz of tourists wandering around below your windows at all hours. The area has this residential vibe where you’ll see Spanish families doing their grocery shopping and kids playing in the streets – it’s refreshing, honestly.

Parking was straightforward, which anyone who’s driven around southern Tenerife will tell you is not a given. The check-in process was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming arrival details beforehand since it’s not a traditional hotel setup with a 24-hour front desk. The apartment itself lives up to that “luxury” tag – everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just expensive for the sake of it. The kitchen is actually functional (not one of those decorative hotel kitchenettes), and the living space has enough room to spread out without feeling cavernous. I spent a good chunk of time on the terrace in the evenings, and you can catch glimpses of the ocean between the buildings if you position yourself right. The whole place stays cool naturally, which is a blessing during those hot Canarian afternoons when the sun just beats down relentlessly. What really sold me was how the 8.2 rating actually feels accurate – it’s genuinely good without trying to be perfect. There are tiny quirks here and there (the shower pressure could be stronger, the Wi-Fi occasionally hiccups), but nothing that ruins the experience. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between luxury and authenticity, and you don’t mind being a short drive from the beach rather than right on top of it, Villa Habibi hits that mark pretty well.

  The location is perfect. Fabulous views and a few mins walk to the mini supermarket, tennis club and restaurants. Clean and comfortable beds. Villa its self was clean and had what we needed. Plenty of hot water unless both showers running at the same time. We never used the bath. The pool was also nice a clean. The area is quiet and fabulous surrounding views and sunset from the front.

  Lovely, comfortable villa with everything necessary for a relaxing stay. Very private and we especially loved the pool and garden area. Great for chilling and gets the sun all day. Very comfortable and big bedroom and kitchen has all the equipment to cook. Big TV area with comfortable couch to stretch out.

  Lovely location, 2km from Playa. Nice quiet cul-de-sac. Had a rental car, close to Jungle park (2km). Supermarket (Mercadona), 5 mins away.
