You know what struck me first about Villa Dragos? It’s tucked away in this quiet residential pocket of Santa Úrsula that most tourists completely miss – and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. The address says Urbanización San Patricio, which sounds fancy, but it’s really just this lovely hillside neighborhood where you’ll hear roosters in the morning and see actual Canarian families going about their day. I mean, you’re still close enough to the coast that you can smell the Atlantic when the wind shifts, but far enough up that you escape all that coastal humidity and tourist chaos.

The villa itself feels like someone’s well-loved family home that they’ve opened up to guests – which, come to think of it, is probably exactly what it is. There’s this relaxed elegance to the place that’s hard to fake. The rooms have character without being cluttered, you know? And the views… well, let’s just say you’ll understand why someone built a house on this particular spot. On clear days (which is most days here, let’s be honest), you can see all the way down to the ocean and across to some of the other islands. The breakfast terrace catches the morning light perfectly, and I actually found myself waking up early just to sit out there with coffee before the day got started.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels genuinely connected to the area. The owners – or whoever’s running the show – clearly know Santa Úrsula inside and out. They’ll point you toward this little family restaurant down the hill that doesn’t even have a proper sign, or tell you which days the local market is worth visiting. And parking? Not even an issue, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife will tell you is basically a miracle. The whole setup just makes sense in a way that a lot of hotels don’t – it’s comfortable without being stuffy, local without being touristy, and peaceful without being boring. That 9.4 rating isn’t just people being nice; it’s what happens when someone actually puts thought into how travelers want to experience a place, rather than just giving them a bed and calling it a day.

  This villa is nothing short of exceptional, it is honestly outstanding. The views are incredible and the setting is truly magical.
  There is everything you could ever need equipment wise, they really have thought of everything.
  The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious.
  Great communication prior to arrival and we were greeted on arrival and shown round.
  Love the board of recommendations in the kitchen – it definitely helped on deciding what to do.
  The pool finishes off the experience perfectly and i loved that it was behind a gate with a cover especially as we had small children in our party.
  I dont think this villa sells itself too well in the adverts because it exceeded everything we could have expected – many times we said “thats amazing! Why dont they put that in the advert” prime example being the beautiful views of the sun setting over the sea and views off mount Teide when sitting atound the pool!
  Wouldnt hesitate to recommend (just do hire a car as it is not walkable to anywhere unless youre a seasoned hiker!
  
  What could be improved: Now….the villa itself was perfect but if i was being overly critical it seems that air con would be a great addition. Lizards in the rooms were a huge issue so we couldnt leave the doors open – at the very least, mesh screens to keep things out but air in would really help make this place completely perfect.
  This is not related to the villa itself but the weather difference between the south and north of the island is fairly massive so if youre a sun worshipper snd are expecting to be out all day every day by the pool sunbathing then you may be a little disappointed. Alot of cloud and cooler temperatures than in the south was fine for us but may not be for everyone.
  Very slight moan – would have been nice to have been told about the building work right at the side of the villa as trying to relax with heavy machinery and drilling/banging for a good chunk of each day was a little frustrating to say the least.
  Final thing & again minor but a little warning that the sprinklers come on at 11pm every night would have saved a mad rush around collecting things in that were getting soaked 🙈

  The Villa is extremely comfortable and spacious. Furthermore the garden is ideal for children and we really enjoyed the heated pool. Sarah and her husband were excellent hosts.
  
  What could be improved: The WiFi was unstable in some locations of the villa.
  On our last day there was a lot of noise because of construction workers on the neighbouring plot. We can hardly hold our hosts responsible for that.

  Nice view, large garden, well equipped kitchen, comfortable rooms with large bathrooms, excellent location in the north (less touristic area) with very nice beaches nearby.
  
  What could be improved: No en-suite bathrooms, rather cheap flooring in living room and bedrooms.

  Zwembad was heerlijk, de tuin, ligbedden, tafeltennisplek. Veel binnenruimte, spelletjes, puzzels. Goede bedden. Fijn contact met Sarah en Alan. Goede keukenuitrusting en royale BBQ.
  
  What could be improved: Vanuit het huis waren er beperkte wandelmogelijkheden. Erg steil. Je moet altijd even met de auto.

  Cette villa est exceptionnelle : vaste, lumineuse, très confortable, très propre, très bien équipée. Le jardin est extrêmement bien entretenu, très agréable, avec plusieurs petits endroits aménagés, de nombreux transats, un salon d’extérieur.
  La vue est exceptionnelle.
  L’accueil de Sarah était très chaleureux, elle a été adorable et très serviable.

  Die Villa Dragos hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Villa ist riesig und bietet mit 5 Schlafzimmern und
  3 Bädern ausreichend Platz für alle. Der Garten überzeugt mit einem tollen Pool und genügend Sitzgelegenheiten, um draußen gemeinsam zu essen.
  Vom Flughafen Teneriffa Süd braucht man mit dem Auto ca. 1 Stunde zur Unterkunft, zum nächsten Strand sind es mit dem Auto ca. 15 Minuten.
  In der Nähe der Unterkunft befindet sich ein Bäcker, Supermärkte etc.
  Die Gastgeberin Sarah ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett! Neben einem Willkommenspaket stand sie jederzeit für Rückfragen bereit.
  Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
  
  What could be improved: Wir waren 8 Leute und haben uns selbstversorgt. Beim Vorbereiten der Mahlzeiten ist uns aufgefallen, dass nur zwei kleine Schneidebretter zur Verfügung stehen.
