You know what surprised me most about Ventura Next to the beach? The name actually undersells it – I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Playa de Los Cristianos, but what they don’t tell you is that you’re also right in the heart of where locals actually hang out. The hotel sits on Calle Juan XXIII, which honestly sounds more impressive than it looks (it’s basically a quiet side street), but that’s actually perfect because you get zero tourist trap vibes while still being close enough to hear the waves if you open your balcony door at night.

The building itself is what I’d call properly Spanish – none of that fake resort nonsense, just a solid three-story place that feels like it’s been there forever but clearly someone’s been taking care of it. Check-in was refreshingly normal, no upselling or lengthy presentations, just “here’s your key, breakfast is downstairs, beach is that way.” The rooms are clean and functional – I’m talking good air conditioning (crucial in Arona summers), decent WiFi, and bathrooms that actually have water pressure. Nothing fancy, but honestly after a day exploring Teide or wandering around Los Cristianos port, you just want a place that works. The 9.5 rating makes sense when you realize they’re not trying to be everything to everyone – they just do the basics really, really well.

What I loved most was the neighborhood feel of it all. There’s this little Canarian restaurant about fifty meters down the street where you can get proper papas arrugadas without paying tourist prices, and the local bus stop is close enough that you can easily get to Santa Cruz or even up to Mount Teide without dealing with rental car hassles. Parking isn’t included but there’s usually street parking nearby – though I’d recommend getting back before 8 PM if you don’t want to circle the block a few times. The staff actually knows the area too, like they’ll tell you which beach spots are less crowded or when the local market happens (Thursdays, by the way). It’s that kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real instead of in some tourist bubble, but you’re still close enough to all the standard Tenerife stuff that you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.

  Clean, newly renovated apartments. Very good location. Right by the ocean, near bus stops. Lots of cafes nearby. Very nice host Maria. explained everything and helped with any problems.

  Our stay was fantastic! The apartment is just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by a variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The host, Maria, was incredibly welcoming and even provided us with a list of recommended restaurants, which was a huge help. She also allowed us to check in 1.5 hours earlier than scheduled. I highly recommend this place!

  Apartamentul este la parter, plasat excelent, aproape de plajă, aproape de străduțele cu localuri, dar liniștit ș cochet. Mulțumim în mod special Mariei Gonzales, extrem de amabilă și dispusă la tot sprijinul. A rezolvat pentru noi ceva complicații cu cardurile de transport.
