Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of three-star places along Tenerife’s coast, and honestly? Trebol 1 punches way above its weight. When I first pulled up to Avenida Jose Antonio Tavio – which, by the way, is this quiet residential street that most tourists never find – I wasn’t expecting much from the building. It’s sort of tucked away in Costa Del Silencio, and the name of this town literally means “Coast of Silence,” which should tell you something about the vibe here.

But here’s the thing that got me: the moment you step inside, you realize someone actually cares about this place. The lobby smells like fresh cleaning products mixed with that ocean salt air that drifts in whenever someone opens the door. And the staff – I mean, they’re not just going through the motions like you get at some of the bigger resort chains up the coast. During check-in, the woman at the desk actually drew me a little map showing where to find the good local bakery (it’s about a five-minute walk toward the main road) and warned me that the construction crew working on the building next door starts up around 7 AM. That kind of heads-up? That’s gold.

Costa Del Silencio isn’t one of those flashy tourist zones – it’s more where Spanish families come for quiet holidays, which explains why you’ll hear way more Spanish than English in the hallways. The apartments here are proper apartments too, not those cramped hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. I had a full kitchen that I actually used, decent-sized windows that let in all that southern Tenerife light, and – this surprised me – really solid Wi-Fi. The building itself is probably from the 80s or 90s, so don’t expect Instagram-perfect modern design, but everything works and it’s clean. Actually, it’s cleaner than some four-star places I’ve stayed at in Las Américas.

What really sells this place, though, is the location without being in the chaos. You’re about a ten-minute drive from the airport (and I mean ten minutes, not “ten minutes in light traffic”), but you don’t hear planes constantly overhead. The beach is a short walk down the hill, and it’s one of those black sand stretches where locals bring their kids on weekends. There’s a Mercadona supermarket maybe fifteen minutes away on foot if you want to stock up on groceries, and the bus connections are actually decent if you don’t have a rental car. The 9.1 rating this place has? Yeah, that tracks. It’s not fancy, but it gets the fundamentals right – clean, quiet, functional, and the kind of place where you can actually relax without feeling like you’re constantly being upsold on excursions or spa treatments.

  Die Lage war fast auf mich zugeschnitten. Das Appartment ist durch die großen Fensterscheiben sehr angenehm hell.
  
  What could be improved: Der Fernseher konnte ich nicht benutzen da er in ukrainischer Schrift eingestellt ist. War aber für mich kein Problem,da ich keinen Fernseher brauche.
  Die Küche könnte besser bestückt sein. Vll eine Kaffemaschine zum filtern.
