It’s actually tucked away in this quiet corner of Adeje where most tourists never venture – I mean, you’re literally in La Caleta, which feels like a secret that only locals and savvy travelers know about. The hotel sits right on La Enramada street, and honestly, the moment you pull up (parking is surprisingly smooth, by the way), you realize this isn’t your typical Tenerife resort experience.

The thing is, this place gets the balance right in a way that’s pretty rare. You’ve got that five-star polish – the kind where staff actually remember your name and your coffee order – but it doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious. I spent most mornings on my balcony just watching the Atlantic stretch out endlessly, and you can actually hear the waves from most rooms, which is something you don’t get at those massive complexes up the coast. The spa here is honestly exceptional (and I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas), with this volcanic stone treatment that uses local materials – very Canarian, very authentic. What really won me over though was how they handle the food. The restaurant sources a lot from local suppliers, and you can taste the difference in everything from the fish to the tropical fruits. There’s this papaya they serve at breakfast that’s so perfectly ripe it almost tastes like candy.

Here’s the practical stuff that actually matters: La Caleta itself is this charming fishing village that most people drive right past on their way to Los Cristianos, but that’s their loss. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to some genuinely excellent seafood restaurants where locals eat (not tourist traps), and the little black sand beach nearby is usually pretty quiet even in peak season. The hotel’s location means you avoid the cruise ship crowds but you’re still close enough to everything – Costa Adeje is maybe ten minutes by car, and the airport is totally manageable. One small thing that impressed me: the rooms stay surprisingly cool even during the day, and the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given, even at nice places). The 9.3 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs – check-in was seamless, housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and the concierge team actually knows the island well enough to give you recommendations beyond the usual tourist spots. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can, which honestly, I tried to do.

  Hotel buffet was exceptional. Quality of the food made us choose to have dinner at the hotel over local restaurants. Room was perfect size, clean and beautiful style. Staff friendly with good recommendations from the concierge. Helpful when needed. Easy to get taxi and the walk from the hotel alongside the beach is beautiful because the location of the hotel itself is very well placed.

  Lovely Hotel and resort In a great area. Beautiful gardens, wonderful heated pools . Breakfast and dinner excellent with a good choice . Room was spacious very clean with a great sea view. The staff without exception were brilliant with a special mention for Ann Marie housekeeper.
