Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Tigotan Lovers & Friends, I wasn’t expecting much from another adults-only hotel in Playa de las Americas. But this place actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Noelia Afonso Cabrera street, which is sort of a blessing because you’re close enough to stumble back from the main strip but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing karaoke at 3 AM.

The whole vibe here is more sophisticated than your typical Tenerife party hotel – they’ve clearly put thought into creating something that feels grown-up without being stuffy. The pool area becomes this really nice social hub during the day, and honestly, the crowd tends to be couples in their thirties and forties who know how to have fun without getting messy. I loved that you could actually have a conversation by the pool without shouting over screaming kids or terrible music. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – nothing revolutionary, but they’re clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning actually works properly (which, trust me, matters more than you think in July). What really struck me was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay better. The front desk remembered my name after the first day, and the bartender started making my usual drink without me having to ask.

Here’s what you need to know about the location – you’re maybe a seven-minute walk to the beach, and it’s actually one of the better stretches of sand in the area. Not the prettiest beach on the island, but the water’s clean and there are decent beach bars if you want to grab lunch without trekking back to the hotel. The real advantage is being on this particular street because you can easily walk to all the restaurants and bars, but when you want to escape the chaos, you just head back to your quiet little oasis. I spent a few evenings just sitting on the hotel terrace with a drink, watching the sunset and planning the next day – something I definitely couldn’t have done at the noisier places closer to the main square. The only minor complaint I had was that the WiFi got a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone was online, but honestly, that might have been a blessing in disguise. This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find Instagram-perfect infinity pools or celebrity chef restaurants, but it’s exactly what a good adults-only hotel should be – relaxed, friendly, and designed for people who want to actually enjoy their vacation rather than just document it.

  Very good staff, very helpful and friendly,
  the Hotel was great overall as well. It was clean, with very great facilities, great service, great location. just exceptional!
  
  We want to give extra compliments to the staff, especially the Hotel manager. He was so nice and did everything he could and more to help us. My husband had an injury on his back and the manager met with us with compassion and was so helpful an understanding about our situation
  
  What could be improved: Maybe only the location of the room, it could have been a bit better, as well as the balcony, we were located at a shadowed place so it was hard to sunbath when we only got the evening sun. But everything else was so good that we made the best of that situation and didn’t make a big deal out of it
