I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked down Calle la Trinidad looking for The Zarzamora Canary Little Home – I mean, the name alone sounds like someone threw darts at a Spanish dictionary. But honestly, this little three-star gem completely caught me off guard. The building itself is this charming Canarian house that feels like it’s been there forever, tucked away on a quiet street in Los Realejos where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic. The owners – and I’m pretty sure they live nearby because they seem to know everyone in the neighborhood – have this genuine warmth that makes you feel like you’re staying with family rather than just checking into another hotel room.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail all the little things that matter. The rooms are small, sure, but they’re thoughtfully designed with these lovely traditional touches that actually mean something – not just random decorative tiles slapped on the walls. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m talking proper sleep, not that stiff hotel mattress nonsense), and the whole place has this incredibly peaceful vibe that’s hard to find these days. Los Realejos isn’t exactly the touristy part of Tenerife, which is honestly perfect if you want to experience something more authentic. You’re close enough to Puerto de la Cruz for day trips – maybe a fifteen-minute drive – but you get to come back to this quiet corner where locals are still living their actual lives. The area around Calle la Trinidad has some really good local restaurants within walking distance, and there’s this bakery about two blocks away that does amazing pastries in the morning.

I have to say, that 9.8 rating isn’t just people being nice – this place really delivers on creating an experience that feels personal and genuine. The attention to detail is impressive for a three-star property, and the location gives you the best of both worlds: authentic local atmosphere without being completely isolated from the things you probably want to see. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself extending your stay if you can, not because there’s so much to do right there, but because it just feels right. Perfect for travelers who want something real rather than another generic hotel experience.

  My husband and I recently stayed at Zarzamora Canary Little Home for a pleasure trip, and it was absolutely wonderful! The property is a charming Finca-style house, part of a trio of units tucked behind a walled enclosure, offering both privacy and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
  
  The cottage we stayed in was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It felt like a true home away from home, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The kitchen was especially impressive—well-equipped and perfect for leisurely mornings where we enjoyed our coffee and tea.
  
  We also loved the private porch attached to our unit. It was such a peaceful spot to relax. The community laundry area was spotless and an added convenience that we truly appreciated.
  
  Check-in was seamless; we received clear instructions in advance via email, making the whole process hassle-free. The host was kind, attentive, and responded quickly to any questions we had. It’s rare to find such excellent hospitality!
  
  The location was also ideal—close to grocery stores and restaurants, making it easy to stock up or head out for a meal. And considering the quality of the property and all its amenities, it’s a fantastic value.
  
  Overall, Zarzamora Canary Little Home was cozy, clean, and just perfect for our trip. We can’t wait to come back!

  La vivienda está decorada con mucho gusto, introduciendo muebles antiguos con modernos. La limpieza fue de mención, ya que todo estaba IMPECABLE.
  El solárium, la terraza dan una paz tan agradable en ese ambiente de tanta naturaleza.
  Nos desplazábamos caminando tanto al super como al centro de los realejos alto. Pero a la misma vez en una zona muy tranquila.
  La anfitriona estuvo pendiente de nosotras en todo momento.

  Magnífica casita en lo alto del pueblo de los Realejos. Las vistas desde la terraza son preciosas, con vistas al mar, plantaciones de pláatanos, aguacates y montaña. Todo está muy cuidado, con muchos detalles por todos lados. Se nota que construyeron la casita con mucho empeño y amor. Se nota una energía muy positiva. Además, tuvimos la suerte de conocer a los anfitriones – Maribel y James – que son personas encantadoras y apasionadas por lo que hacen y por dar el mejor servicio a sus clientes, siempre muy atentos y flexibles. El último día tuvimos que salir media hora después de la hora dek check out y fueron muy compresivos, sin poner ningún tipo de problema. Muchas gracias por todo y hasta pronto!

  Die Gastgeberin ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben sehr gerne auf der Dachterrasse gefrühstückt, diese teilt man sich mit zwei anderen Wohneinheiten. Wir hatten sie meist für uns allein. Die Waschmaschine funktioniert gut. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt und wir empfehlen das Haus gerne weiter.
  
  What could be improved: Die Küchenausstattung könnte noch erweitert werden (eine Salatschüssel, ein paar scharfe Messer).

  Una de los alojamientos más bonitos donde hemos estado, tiene de todo, la ubicación está cerca de muchos supermercados, gasolineras pero a la vez es un sitio muy tranquilo, no se oye nada de nada. Además los propietarios y la atención al cliente ha sido excelente, detallistas y atentos, han estado siempre atentos por si necesitábamos algo.
