You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to The Terrace on the Sea – honestly, the name sounds a bit generic, right? But man, was I wrong. This place sits right on Paseo Humboldt in Caleta de Interián, and I mean *right* on it. You’re basically a two-minute walk from the water, which in this part of Tenerife is actually saying something because the coastline here isn’t your typical tourist trap stuff. It’s more rugged, more authentic – the kind of place where you’ll see local fishermen setting up their lines at dawn rather than crowds of sunbathers. The hotel itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciated. Four stars, sure, but it doesn’t try too hard to prove it, if that makes sense.

What really got me was how they’ve designed the terraces (and yeah, there are multiple levels of them). Each one takes advantage of the sea views without making you feel like you’re in a fishbowl. I spent way too much time just sitting out there with my morning coffee, watching the waves hit the volcanic rocks below. The sound is incredible – not overwhelming, just this constant, gentle backdrop that actually helped me sleep better than I have in months. The rooms are spacious enough that you don’t feel cramped, and honestly, the bathrooms are better than some five-star places I’ve stayed at. Everything feels fresh and well-maintained, though I did notice the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some of the lower-level rooms – not a huge deal if you’re trying to disconnect anyway.

Here’s the thing about Caleta de Interián that most people don’t realize: it’s perfectly positioned between the more touristy areas without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. You can walk to some genuinely good local restaurants (there’s this little place about five minutes down the road that does the best papas arrugadas I’ve had on the island), but you’re also close enough to the main attractions if you want to do the typical Tenerife things. The staff at the hotel seems to actually know the area too – they gave me directions to a hiking trail that I never would have found otherwise, and it wasn’t some overcrowded tourist route either. Parking was surprisingly easy, which anyone who’s driven around this part of the island will tell you is not always a given. I’d definitely go back, especially during the shoulder season when it’s less crowded but the weather’s still perfect. The whole experience just felt… I don’t know, genuine? Like they’re more focused on making sure you have a good time than on impressing you with fancy lobbies or whatever.

  The house was nice, the kitchen was fully equipped, and it was nice to see a few essentials like oil, salt, pepper etc. From the equipment we had everything we needed. The A/C was a big help! as the clothes were not really drying outside. We used the balcony a lot to just sit and watch the ocean and listen to the sounds of the ocean. The view from the balcony is very nice.
  There were also towels and padding for the rocky beach nearby, we were very happy to use them!
  Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. The owner was available by messages on booking.
  
  What could be improved: there were ants in the house, they were crawling on the table floor bathroom. We had to be extra careful to keep all food closed or in the fridge…
  The shower was a bit tricky to use as you had to squeeze into the wall in order to close the shower door. It would be nice to have stronger ventilation in the bathroom, as well.
  (not owners fault) We were unfortunate for there to be construction in front of the house… We had to wake up to construction noises in the morning…

  The location of the apartment was great, right at the ocean in a small village. The beach was rocky but nice for a swim. There was also a supermarket in walking distance and a great restaurant called Mundial 82.

  This is a wonderful place. The apartment has everything you need. The terrace faces north which is great as it doesn't get too hot. We stayed here in December which meant that the restaurants in La Caleta were not open in the evening, but we just cooked our own food.

  The neibourhoud was so charming and the view with the sound of ocean was calming specially in the morning. Just next to the flat is the promenad which we recomend to go for a walk in the evening. The flat had everything what we could ask for and more! Also the undergorund parking was so helpfull.

  We had the most amazing stay at this apartment right by the ocean! Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with a breathtaking view, and every night, we fell asleep to the calming sound of the waves. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need—nothing was missing. There’s also underground parking, a beautiful courtyard, and a delicious restaurant just across the street. A supermarket is conveniently located only 200 meters away.
  
  The small village is nestled at the foot of the mountains, peaceful and primarily inhabited by locals, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Although the weather is generally cooler, with misty conditions on most days, it added to the calm and serene atmosphere of the place. It’s a great base, and with a car, you can easily explore the rest of the island. Highly recommended for those seeking relaxation and tranquility!

  Sehr ruhig gelegenes Appartement mit traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Balkon direkt vor dem kleinen Strand. Es war alles vorhanden, was man so brauchte. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 200m. Im Ort 2 Restaurants, eins war allerdings vorübergehend geschlossen, das andere schließt 17.00, es gibt dort auch kein Frühstück.
  Aber man konnte wunderbar auf dem Balkon sitzen, essen und aufs Meer schauen.
  Man kann von hier aus die Insel in alle Richtungen erkunden, oder lange Strandspaziergänge machen. Im Nachbarort gibt es auch gute Gastronomie.
  Wir hatten ein Auto, aber auch gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel ist vorhanden. Zur Wohnung gehört eine Tiefgarage, was sehr angenehm ist.
  Netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, es gab keine Probleme.
  Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier richtig.

  Apartamento super completo y amplio. Hemos tenido todo lo que hemos necesitado para nuestros días en la estancia. Buena ubicación y sitio muy tranquilo. Almohadas y cama muy cómodas. El dueño es muy atento y se ha preocupado porque nuestra estancia haya sido lo más cómoda posible. Sin duda lo recomiendo.
