So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to THE CLUB on Avenida María Ángeles Ascanio Cullen, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. The name sounds a bit exclusive, maybe even intimidating, but actually it’s this surprisingly welcoming four-star spot that sits right in the heart of San Miguel de Abona. You know what struck me first? How quiet it was despite being so close to everything. I mean, you’re literally two minutes from the main commercial area, but somehow the street noise just… doesn’t really penetrate here.

The thing about this place is that it genuinely lives up to that triple promise in its name – accommodation, dining, events. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels that claim to do everything but half-ass most of it. Not here. The rooms are honestly pretty solid for a 4-star – nothing fancy, but they’ve got this comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you want to actually relax instead of just crash between tourist activities. The dining situation is where things get interesting though. Their restaurant doesn’t feel like typical hotel food (you know that bland, trying-to-please-everyone vibe). Instead, it’s got some real personality, and I noticed quite a few locals coming in for dinner, which is always a good sign. The events side means there’s occasionally some buzz in the evenings – not crazy party noise, but just enough life to make the place feel dynamic.

What really won me over was the staff’s approach to hospitality. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no lengthy presentations about amenities I didn’t ask about. Just friendly efficiency. And here’s something practical that matters: parking isn’t a nightmare here, unlike some places in the area where you’re circling blocks looking for a spot. The location works really well if you’re planning to explore both the coast and the more traditional inland areas. You’re about fifteen minutes from some decent beaches, but you’re also positioned perfectly for those day trips up into the mountains or over to the more touristy southern resorts when you want that scene. The 7.8 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s going to deliver on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. I’d definitely come back, especially since San Miguel de Abona itself is one of those towns that feels authentically Canarian without being completely overrun by tourism.

  This is our second visit to this hotel having stayed there in December 2024 and we couldn't wait to get back. The staff are amazing and the rooms are such good value for money and have everything you need. The location in perfect especially for golfers. We have already booked to come back in November.
  
  What could be improved: The Wifi had been upgraded but it was actually much worse than when we came in December 2024. Also, we could not get the TV to work (we had a good choice of channels previously). The bar is only open 10am-6pm Wednesday to Sunday – it would be nice to be able to get food or at least a drink in the evenings at the hotel. That being said, we still cannot wait to come back and these minor criticisms are meant to be constructive and not put anyone off.

  Tasty food, drinks! Nice rooms for comfort staying! I would highly recommend this place and would be back!
  
  What could be improved: During 7 days staying there nobody wasn't cleaning the room. This is one quality which can be improve. The rest was amazing ! Nice service, great team, perfect location!

  What could be improved: As we only stopped 1night, it would have been nice to have either, some Tea bags or Coffee capsules for the coffee machine as we arrived very late.

  The apartment was spacious and had clear and simple instructions to check-in independently. The bed was comfortable and the ambiance nice as pictures. The Club is very close to the golf clubs around. Not far from Tenerife South.
  
  What could be improved: It did say the apartment provided a dryer but had none.
  No light at night, so the club is extremely dark at night.

  The room was ideally located quiet, comfortable, clean. There were planes flying about and some construction in the vicinity. This was no real bother. The location was in relaxed environs for a peaceful vacation.

  It was clean and comfortable. You get a whole apartment with a kitchen with a refrigerator, etc.
  
  What could be improved: It was dark and closed when we arrived, at only 7 pm. We had hoped to have dinner there and maybe a drink, and to maybe use the pool, etc. We didn't know that it would be closed at 7 pm already. It was also very dark trying to find the room – There were no lights so we had to use the flashlights on our phones to find our way to the room.
