You know what caught me off guard about TenoHomes Oceanview Studio? It’s actually in San Marcos — not the touristy part everyone talks about, but tucked away where you get genuine Canarian island life without the cruise ship crowds. I mean, when I first pulled up to this place, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot, but honestly, that 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re inside.

The studio itself is pretty clever — whoever designed it actually thought about how people live, not just how places photograph. The balcony faces west, so you’re getting these ridiculous sunset views over the Atlantic, and I spent way too many evenings out there with a bottle of local wine just watching the light change. The ocean sound is constant but not overwhelming, sort of like white noise that actually helps you sleep better. What I really appreciated was the kitchenette setup — it’s small but functional, and there’s a little market about two blocks down where the locals shop (way better prices than the tourist spots). The shower has surprisingly good water pressure, which… look, after a few disappointing hotel experiences, you start to notice these things.

Here’s the thing about the location that nobody mentions in typical reviews — you’re about a 15-minute walk from the main strip, but it’s actually perfect. Close enough that you can easily get to restaurants and bars, but far enough that you’re not dealing with noise until 3 AM. There’s this little café called Bar Miramar just around the corner that serves the best café con leche I had on the entire island, and the owner, María, will remember your order after two visits. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (July and August get pretty crazy), but there’s street parking if you’re patient, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive much anyway. The bus connections are decent if you want to explore other parts of Tenerife, and the taxi drivers know the area well. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and it felt like having a little slice of local life — you hear Spanish conversations on the street, smell someone’s lunch cooking, see kids playing football in the small plaza nearby. It’s not luxury, but it’s real, and after years of sterile hotel experiences, that authenticity is worth way more than fancy amenities you never use.

  The studio was brand new, very clean, furnished with everything you need, everything! The view is astonishing! For a couple there is a lot of space!
  The staff ease the check in and check out and they was very kind with our request. Perfect place if you want peace and relax.

  it is a nice apartment 10 from 10👌 on the ocean with amazing view from balcony, looks the same like on photos. Inside apartments were clean and looks like new. There were everything what we needed for cooking, stuff in shower and little cool things.

  Une vue exceptionnelle sur l'océan depuis le balcon, vue imprenable sur le volcan El Teide enneigé depuis l'entrée.
  L'appartement était très propre et cosy. Comme c'était la veille de Noël nous avons eu droit à quelques petites attentions en cadeau. SDB et cuisine bien équipées.
  Aucune fausse note.
  
  What could be improved: Après 20:00 la parking est complet, mais on peut se garer a proximité gratuitement. Impossible de regarder des programmes TV autrement qu'en espagnol. La résidence est située loin des commerces.

  Appartamento molto accogliente, pulito, luminoso con una indimenticabile vista sull'oceano.
  Meraviglioso poter fare colazione sulla terrazza davanti al mare!
  Accesso molto comodo anche per chi ha bagaglio pesante essendo situato a piano terra.
  Dotato di tutto il necessario per un tranquillo soggiorno, completo di prodotti per l'igiene personale, di prodotti per la pulizia della casa e biancheria. Consigliatissimo!!!👍
