You know what surprised me most about this place? The name’s a bit of a mouthful – Sweet home in Golf del Sur, AP236 with heated pool and ocean view – but it actually delivers on everything it promises. I mean, when you’re staying on Avenida J.M. Galván Bello, you’re right in the heart of Golf del Sur, which honestly feels like one of those well-kept secrets that locals don’t really want tourists to discover. The whole area has this relaxed, residential vibe that’s completely different from the busier resort towns further north.

The heated pool thing isn’t just marketing speak either – and trust me, you’ll appreciate that if you’re visiting during the cooler months when the Atlantic can be a bit nippy for swimming. I actually spent most mornings there with my coffee, watching the ocean in the distance while the pool stayed perfectly warm. The ocean view is legit too, though it’s not like you’re perched on a cliff or anything dramatic. It’s more of a gentle, everyday kind of beautiful that grows on you. The apartment itself feels genuinely homey (hence the name, I guess), not like those sterile hotel rooms that could be anywhere in the world. There’s actual character here – the kind of place where you can picture yourself living for a while, not just passing through.

What really sold me on the area was how walkable everything is without feeling touristy. The golf course is obviously right there if that’s your thing, but even if you’re not into golf, the whole neighborhood benefits from that manicured, peaceful atmosphere. San Miguel de Abona might not ring a bell for most people, but it’s one of those authentic Canarian towns where you can actually grab groceries at normal prices and have a proper meal without paying resort markups. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place on the island, but everything just works really well. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the attention to detail reminded me why I prefer these kinds of stays over big chain hotels. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re looking for nightlife or constant activity, you’ll want to venture out a bit – but for me, that was exactly the point. Sometimes you find places that just feel right, you know?

  Absolutely everything about this location and flat was outstanding the view and the pool, the host had a little issue with something that had happened previously and with a phone call it was resolved instantly

  The unit was clean and we appreciated the video that the property manager sent us that provided directions upon checking in.
  The ceiling fan in the bedroom was poor quality, very loud at night. We were unable to open the bedroom window so it was very hot and stuffy.
  There is no lights going up or down the stairs on the second floor. Very unsafe. We could not get Netflix on the TV.

  The apartment was well positioned close to restaurants and lovely coastal walks.
  The open plan kitchen was well equipped. The lounge was spacious and bright with nice modern tiled flooring.
  
  What could be improved: The bedroom was small and needs refurbishing. The cupboard space is old and in need of attention. Bedding was poor and needs replacing. There is a safe but does not work. The curtains in the apartment need changing as they don’t fit the windows so don’t totally close.

  La propreté, l'ensoleillement de l'appartement ainsi que le calme , la décoration et le balcon qui donnait vu sur la mer !
  
  What could be improved: Il manquait une chaise bebe ainsi que la vaisselle en plastique. Aussi pour accéder a l'appartement, il y a plusieurs marches d'escalier à monter. A prendre en compte
