You know what surprised me about Sunnyland Ático Adelfas? It’s tucked away on Plaza Adelfas in San Andrés, which honestly isn’t the first area most tourists think of when they’re booking Tenerife – but that’s exactly why it works so well. The location is sort of brilliant, actually. You’re far enough from the cruise ship crowds in Santa Cruz, but close enough that you can hop over when you want proper city amenities. The building itself has this clean, modern look that doesn’t scream “hotel” from the street, which I appreciate. When I first walked in, the lobby felt more like stepping into someone’s really well-designed apartment than a typical hotel reception area.

The ático setup is where this place really shines, though. I mean, most 4-star hotels give you a decent room with a view if you’re lucky, but here you’re getting actual terrace space that feels private. The morning light hits differently up there – you can see across the neighborhood rooftops toward the mountains, and there’s this quiet that you don’t get at the beachfront properties. Honestly, I spent more time on that terrace than I planned, just because it felt like having your own little slice of the island without the tourist chaos. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully laid out too, with enough space that you’re not bumping into your luggage every time you move around. The kitchen area is actually functional (not just for show), which matters if you want to grab fresh stuff from the local market and not eat hotel breakfast every single day.

What really sold me on the place was how it handles the details that other hotels mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property – I could video call from the terrace without any issues. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife’s busier spots will appreciate. The staff seems to know the area well too, not just the obvious tourist spots but the kind of local recommendations that make a trip memorable. It’s quiet at night, which might sound boring but trust me, after a day of exploring the island, you’ll want to actually sleep instead of listening to late-night balcony parties. The 9-star rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but it gets the important stuff right and gives you that local neighborhood feel while still being comfortable and well-run.

  What could be improved: The apartment has a balcony or terrace facing a small square. There are always children and locals shouting. The only thing they could handle was the constant ringing of church bells. Otherwise, the apartment, beach, restaurants were good.

  Great location— walking distance from the wonderful Teresitas beach and in the central square of a cute small fishing village. The property is also modern and features a nice covered patio for dining outside. The host accommodated our early check in and that was awesome. We enjoyed our stay even though it rained for all but one day of our stay.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen wasn’t well equipped for cooking. There was not any of the basics (oil, sugar, salt or pepper) like you typically find in an apartment rental. Also, the cooking ware and plates/bowls/glasses situation could be expanded and improved. For example, there were just 4 wide bowls and no small bowls. If the owners/rental company spent a little money at IKEA or similar it would have made things a lot more comfortable because there wasn’t a ton of restaurants in the area and we were keen to cook a few meals.

  An excellent apartment just a couple of minutes walk from Las Terassitas beach, restaurants and a supermarket. Friendly host, fast in replies. I would highly recommend this place.

  The apartment is newly renovated, well furnished, welcoming. It has every comfort, we slept very well, we cooked every day in the apartment and there was nothing we missed in the kitchen!
