The name “Sunny Island Santa Cruz Loft parking” is honestly a bit of a mouthful, but it actually tells you everything you need to know – and that parking part isn’t just thrown in there for fun. Finding a decent spot to leave your car in Santa Cruz can be an absolute nightmare, especially around the city center, so having that sorted from the get-go is honestly worth its weight in gold.

The location on Calle Zurbarán is pretty smart, actually. You’re close enough to the action that you can easily walk to Plaza de España (maybe 10-15 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds and street noise that can make the waterfront areas feel a bit chaotic during peak season. I mean, Santa Cruz gets properly busy when those massive ships dock – we’re talking thousands of tourists flooding the streets all at once. From this spot, you can sort of dip in and out of that energy as you please.

The loft setup works really well here, and I think that 9.4 rating reflects what you actually get – which is a place that feels more like staying in someone’s well-designed apartment than a standard hotel room. The ceilings have that nice height that makes everything feel more spacious, and honestly, after spending time in some of the more cramped accommodations around the Canary Islands, that breathing room hits different. The neighborhood itself has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning, small cafés that aren’t necessarily targeting tourists, that sort of thing. There’s a grocery store within walking distance (always crucial when you’re staying somewhere with kitchen facilities), and the whole area just feels authentically Tenerife rather than resort-y.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that doesn’t always make it into the glossy photos. The WiFi actually works properly – not always a given, even in 4-star places. The beds are comfortable without being overly soft, and the shower has decent water pressure, which sounds boring but trust me, you’ll appreciate it after a day of exploring the island. The kitchen setup means you can grab some of those amazing local tomatoes and fresh bread for breakfast instead of paying hotel prices, though honestly, the nearby café scene is worth exploring too. And that parking situation I mentioned? It’s secure and straightforward, which takes a huge stress factor off the table when you’re planning day trips around the island or just trying to navigate Santa Cruz’s narrow streets.

    Excellent place – a very cozy and comfy apartment made out of an old garage (I suppose), but it is super convenient, it has all the necessary facilities (kitchen, bathroom etc.), including a dishwasher and a washing machine. Close to shops and bus stops. The area has less touristic, more local vibe.

    What could be improved: A bit distant from the main areas of Santa Cruz (20 min walk) – please take that into consideration when booking. It was not a problem for me, but it may be for someone else.

    This apartment is in a quiet street – a great location, within easy reach of a tram stop or by walking along the Rambla.
    It’s very well equipped, with an excellent shower and lovely patio area.
    This is the first time we have opted for self catering in Santa Cruz, and we found it the perfect base for our first experience of the Carnival.

    What could be improved: Only negative was the lack of somewhere comfortable to sit. The settee is really uncomfortable.

    La ubicación es ideal. Lindando al parque La Granja, que esta rodeado de cafeterías y hamburgueserías (premiadas) en una zona no turística. También está a sólo unos minutos a pie de La Rambla y del parque Weyler (donde comienza el casco antiguo). El tranvía tiene una parada a 350 metros.
