Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Puerto de la Cruz over the years, and Suite Natura @ Casa del Lago hits different – in the best way possible. The moment you walk into this place on Calle Uruguay, you get why it’s earned that 9 rating. It’s not flashy or trying too hard, but there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about what travelers need.

What really got me was the attention to detail that you only notice when you’re actually living in the space for a few days. The suites have this perfect balance of feeling homey but still polished – I mean, you’ve got proper kitchen setups if you want to grab some fresh fish from the market down by the harbor, but the beds are hotel-quality comfortable. The whole “natura” thing isn’t just marketing speak either; they’ve managed to bring in natural light and plants without making it feel like you’re sleeping in a greenhouse. And honestly, after walking around Puerto’s cobblestone streets all day (your feet will thank you for those comfortable lobby chairs when you get back), the sound insulation is surprisingly good. You’re right in the heart of things on Calle Uruguay, but you won’t hear every conversation from the street.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before my first visit – the location is absolutely perfect for people who want to actually experience Puerto de la Cruz, not just pass through it. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Plaza del Charco, where locals actually hang out in the evenings, and about the same distance to those incredible natural pools at Playa Martianez. The staff knows the area inside and out too, which makes a huge difference. They’ll point you toward the little family-run restaurants tucked away in the side streets rather than the tourist traps near the main plaza. Check-in was smooth (they actually seemed happy to see us, which isn’t always a given), and parking – well, it’s Puerto de la Cruz, so street parking is what it is, but they’ll give you the real scoop on where to find spots that won’t cost you a fortune. The whole experience just feels more authentic than those big chain hotels up the hill that might have fancier lobbies but completely miss what makes this part of Tenerife special.

  What could be improved: We were not able to open windows in the bedroom because of the food smells from the restaurant down below. The restaurant as well had a private party and the music was so load that we had to leave the apartment. In the need of rest this would not be possible.

  Die Wohnung hat eine top Lage, mitten im Zentrum, dennoch wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten und noch mehr. Sehr netter Vermieter, Reichlich Platz trotz schlafen auf der Couch (wir waren zu viert füreinander Woche da). Absolut zu empfehlen.

• Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung – Acyb from Germany – 27 December 2024 (9/10)

  Das war wohl die schönste Ferienwohnung, in der wir bisher waren. Man fühlt sich direkt wie zu Hause.
  Küche und Wohnzimmer sind nahezu perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlt an nicht's.
  Der Balkon ist wunderbar, um dort zu frühstücken, der kleinere zum Wäsche aufhängen ( trotz des starken Geruchs aus den Restaurantküchen riecht diese hinterher nicht frittiert).
  Die Lage ist wunderbar, von hier aus ist fast alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Der große kostenlose Parkplatz, ca 20 Minuten entfernt, ebenso der Taoro Park oder botanische Garten. Alles sehr gut zu Fuß machbar. Supermärkte und Zoo-Bimmelbahn um die Ecke, Schwimmbad ein Katzensprung. Unschlagbar.
  Für die Lage ist es in der Wohnung bei geschlossenen Fenstern trotzdem ruhig.
  
  What could be improved: Es gibt nur Weniges, was uns nicht so gut gefallen hat. Fangen wir im Schlafzimmer an, dort kann man leider erst ab 23 Uhr das Fenster öffnen, da es sonst riecht, als würde man in der Küche des Restaurants nebenan schlafen. Auch die Animation des Hotels ist sehr laut , hat mich persönlich nicht gestört, aber empfindliche Personen haben keine Freude daran. Das Bett war recht weich, wir haben uns erst erschrocken, dennoch hat man sehr gut darin geschlafen. Hier rutschen allerdings die Matratzen immer auseinander, Junior ist ab und an in einer recht großen Lücke verschwunden. Wenn man das ändern könnte, gibt es nicht's weiter am Schlafzimmer auszusetzen.
  
  An Wohnzimmer und Küche gibt es nicht's auszusetzen.
  
  Im Bad muss man mit der Dusche vorsichtig sein, die Armatur ist recht empfindlich, hier entscheiden nur Millimeter zwischen Eiswasser und Verbrühungen.
  
  Bis auf wenige Kleinigkeiten gibt es also nicht's zu beanstanden.

  Obiekt w 100% spełnił nasze oczekiwanie. Mieszkanie przestronne z dwoma balkonami, 3 minuty od oceanu. Kuchnia była wyposażone we wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty, partner nawet próbował wymyślić czego brakuje i nic nie znalazł 😉 Smart TV z youtube i Netflixem. Zdecydowanie wrócimy jak będziemy w okolicy, byliśmy zachwyceni. Faktycznie jest problem ze znalezieniem miejsca parkingowego, ale jak się trochę pokrąży to powinno coś się znaleźć, ewentualnie trochę dalej (byliśmy w maju).
