Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this little studio on Calle San Juan, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in simple packages. The moment I stepped onto that balcony and saw the Atlantic stretching out toward the horizon, I got it. This isn’t about marble lobbies or fancy concierge services – it’s about waking up to the sound of waves and having your morning coffee with a view that changes every day.

The location is actually perfect if you know Puerto de la Cruz at all. Calle San Juan is one of those quiet residential streets that locals prefer – close enough to walk to Plaza del Charco in about five minutes, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with street noise until 2 AM. I mean, you can still hear the ocean from inside, which honestly became my favorite white noise machine. The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully laid out – whoever designed this actually stayed in hotel rooms before, because there’s a proper luggage rack and enough counter space to spread out your stuff without living in chaos. The kitchenette is basic but functional, and trust me, you’ll want to hit the local market on Calle Blanco (just two blocks over) for some of those incredible Canarian tomatoes and fresh fish.

What really won me over was how the light moves across that balcony throughout the day. Morning coffee facing east toward the sunrise, then by afternoon you can actually sit comfortably in the shade while still catching the sea breeze. The building itself is older – you can tell by the thick walls that actually keep things cool – but it’s been maintained well. No fancy amenities, sure, but the WiFi works, the shower has decent pressure, and the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up planning my escape to a different hotel. Parking can be tricky during peak season (avoid July and August if you’re driving), but there’s usually street parking if you’re willing to walk a few blocks. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, and that authenticity is exactly what makes Puerto de la Cruz special compared to the resort madness down south in Playa de las Américas. If you’re the type who needs a pool and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in the Canary Islands rather than just visiting them, this little studio delivers exactly that.

  Overall, we had a great stay at this Studio. Highlights were the central location and it's proximity to retail, supermarkets and restaurants as well as the sea front. The balcony was great for breakfast and people watching. It was idea if you wanted an 'in your face' experience of Puerto del la Cruz but quiet enough in the mornings if you wanted a late start.
  
  The Studio itself had everything you'd want. The pictures (on booking.com), are an honest reflection of what you'll find on arrival. Like with most self catering, each guest leaves leftovers but there were some nice extra touches such as loo paper, foodstuff and cleaning products and sponges/tea towels.
  
  I would have preferred a toaster instead of having to use the oven. I also would have liked an indoor dining table. Eating alfresco is great for the summer but the evenings in December are much cooler.
  
  Definitely worth a revisit in regards to cost and location.

  This was an amazing studio in Puerto de la Cruz. My balcony looked right on this little harbor that people would swim in. Anne-Lie is an awesome host and helped me with anything I needed. I was there during carnival and the parade and night events happened right outside my balcony, so I didn't have to deal with crowds . Wifi, full kitchen, shower, laundry machine, bed, sofa, all great!There are even beach chairs and other things if you go to the beach. Amazing place. Will stay there again when I go to Puerto de la Cruz!!!!!

  J'ai aimé l'emplacement de l'appartement au cœur de Puerto de la Cruz. Le patio avec la fontaine et les plantes dans l'immeuble j'ai beaucoup aimé, tres agréable quand on arrive. Appartement très propre. Grand lit confortable. Un grand miroir c'est super. Le balcon avec la vue sur la mer c'était top et très agréable. Je vous recommande ce logement.

  Wir waren jeden Morgen vor dem Frühstück im Hafen baden.
  In der Altstadt von Puerto de la Cruze gibt es sehr viele auch preiswerte Gastronomitäte, in der Woche unseres Aufenthaltes waren wir in 12 verschiedenen.
  Es ist dort sehr lebhaft, geräuschempfindlich sollte man nicht sein.
