So you’re looking at Studio over the ocean on Calle Odisea – and honestly, the name isn’t just marketing fluff. This little place actually sits right above the water in Costa Del Silencio, which, if you haven’t been, is this quieter stretch south of the main Tenerife tourist madness. I mean, it’s still accessible and everything, but you’re not dealing with the crowds that pile into Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas.

The studio itself is exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star spot – clean, functional, with that slightly worn-in feel that somehow makes vacation rentals more comfortable than pristine hotel rooms. What really gets you though is stepping out onto that little balcony area. The ocean view isn’t just a glimpse between buildings; you’re literally hanging over the Atlantic here. Morning coffee tastes different when you’re watching fishing boats head out while the sun’s still low. The sound of waves is constant but not overwhelming – more like having a white noise machine that actually works, you know?

Costa Del Silencio lives up to its name most of the time. Sure, you’ll hear some activity during the day, but evenings get genuinely peaceful. The location on Calle Odisea puts you close enough to walk to the little local spots – there’s this bakery about five minutes away that locals actually use, not just tourists, and the small supermarket stocks decent wine for way less than you’d pay at resort shops. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (July and August get busy even here), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car much. The coastal walk connects you to other parts of the southern coast, and it’s one of those paths where you actually want to take the long way.

The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not luxury – the shower’s a bit small, and the kitchen setup is basic – but everything works, the WiFi is reliable, and the host seems to actually care about the place. Check-in was straightforward, none of that awkward waiting around or confusing key situation. What really sold me was the sunset view. I’ve stayed at places that promise ocean views and deliver a sliver of blue between apartment blocks, but this studio gives you the full show. Those winter sunsets (if you’re visiting off-season) are absolutely spectacular, and you’re watching them from your own little perch above the water.

If you’re the type who needs resort amenities and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a legitimate ocean-front experience without the resort prices, and you appreciate being in a place where Spanish is still the primary language you hear on the street, Studio over the ocean delivers exactly what it promises. Just book early if you’re planning a summer visit – places like this in Costa Del Silencio don’t stay secret forever.

  Very nice apartment, everything is available. The view from the balcony is fantastic. (Only the noise from the shutters on the balcony in strong winds can interfere. But they need to be tightened as much as possible, or even tied, and then everything will be quiet) The noise from the sea does not interfere at all, it is almost inaudible. The grounds and pool are also very nice.

  Отличные апартаменты! Расположение прямо у океана, первая линия, верхний этаж откуда открывается шикарный вид!!! Чисто, все есть! Заселение без хозяина – self check in!
