Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Studio La Hoya 28, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little gem sits right on Calle la Hoya, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to hear the buzz of Puerto de la Cruz without dealing with the tourist chaos that hits the main plazas.

The studio setup is really well thought out – I mean, whoever designed these spaces actually understood how people live and move around. There’s this nice flow from the sleeping area to the kitchenette, and honestly, the natural light streaming in during the morning is something else. The building itself has that authentic Canarian feel without trying too hard, if that makes sense. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Plaza del Charco. The street has this residential vibe that locals clearly love – I’d see the same faces heading to the corner bakery each morning, which always feels like a good sign to me.

Here’s what actually matters though: the location puts you in this sweet spot where you can walk to Playa Jardín in about ten minutes (and trust me, that black sand beach is worth the hype), but you’re also positioned to explore the older parts of town that most tourists skip. The little grocery store around the corner stays open later than you’d expect, which saved me more than once when I needed basics. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – well, like most of Puerto de la Cruz honestly – but there are spots if you’re patient. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that overly complicated key card drama some places put you through. I actually appreciated how the staff gave me real recommendations, not just the typical tourist trap suggestions. They pointed me toward this incredible local restaurant on Calle Quintana that I never would’ve found otherwise. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you settle in for a few days – it’s not trying to be a fancy resort, but it nails everything it’s supposed to do, and does it with a warmth that feels genuinely Canarian rather than manufactured.

  We really enjoyed the apartment’s location. The design and amenities were well thought out and very comfortable—we could feel the attention to detail. The host was kind and considerate.

  The apartment is located in a pedestrian area, when the last pub closes, it becomes really a quite place to sleep at night. Near you can find easily shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The owner answers quickly to any requests, even when we had to resolve a little blackout. The kitchen is fully equipped, the fridge big enough, plus there is a washing machine with a short program. The wardrobe is also very spacious. The furnitures are brand new and cozy, so you can feel like home. We also got two pairs of keys and granted a later check out. Despite the few reviews, it turned out to be a great choice!

  What could be improved: Be aware that, if you have a heavy luggage, the apartment is located on a second floor without elevator. We also had a cucaracha walking happily on our freshly hung out clothes.. there is a thin curtain, but I would install fixed mosquito nets. Obviously insects are part of the island and you have to learn to live with them. The balcony's view is on the street, no sea, but there is a palm that gives you a bit of privacy.

  Я в восторге от хозяина, он всегда был на связи и отвечал на все вопросы. Я в восторге от квартиры, все рядом, все пешком. Меркадонна в 5 мин. хотьбы супермаркет Дино в 3 мин. Океан просто завернуть за угол и ты в гуще событий. Улица на которой квартира очень колоритная с множеством кафе. И балкон – это любовь, пение уличных музыкантов, наблюдать как живут обычные испанцы, как они общаются, как отдыхают в местных кафе. Квартира удобная, современная и идеально чистая. Я вернусь туда обязательно!

  – Fotos stellen die realen Verhältnisse dar.
  – Modern eingerichtetes Appartment mit kluger Raumaufteilung und sehr großem Balkon.
  – Gute Ausstattung der Küche.
  – Waschmaschine vorhanden.
  – Pflegeprodukte, Handtücher (auch Ersatz) waren im modernen kleinen Badezimmer vorhanden.
  – Lage mitten im Zentrum, nah am Wasser und vielen Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc, – dennoch ruhig da in einer Fußgängerzone gelegen (wir waren im März dort, dort war es sehr ruhig).
  – Sehr sauber.
  – Matrazen waren einigermaßen neu + gemütlich (eher hart).
  
  What could be improved: Uns ist in unserem 1-wöchigen Urlaub nichts negatives aufgefallen.
