You know what caught me off guard about Soul Escape at Incredible View Costamar? The name actually delivers – and I mean that literally. When I first walked into the lobby, I was expecting typical tourist hotel vibes, but this place sits right on Juan Carlos I street in a spot where you can actually see the ocean from most rooms. It’s not one of those “sea view” situations where you’re craning your neck around a construction crane. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in Los Cristianos without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos – you’re about a five-minute walk from the main beach promenade, but far enough back that you’re not hearing drunk British tourists singing at 2 AM (trust me, that’s a real concern in this area).

The hotel itself feels like someone took a standard 4-star property and actually thought about the details. The rooms are spacious – I mean genuinely spacious, not “spacious for Europe” spacious – and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I’m usually skeptical of hotel mattresses, but I slept better here than I do at home. The staff at check-in were efficient without being rushed, which is rare in a place that clearly handles a lot of package tour groups. Speaking of which, yes, there are tour groups here, but the hotel’s design spreads people out enough that it never feels overwhelming. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when everyone’s deciding whether to hit the beach or stay put, but early morning and late afternoon it’s actually quite peaceful.

What really sold me on this place was the breakfast situation – and I say this as someone who usually skips hotel breakfast entirely. They’ve got local stuff mixed in with the standard continental spread, and the coffee is actually drinkable. The dining area opens right onto a terrace where you can sit with your cortado and watch Los Cristianos wake up, which honestly became my favorite part of each day. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Tenerife, but it does everything well without any major hiccups. Parking was easy (there’s a garage, though it’s a bit tight if you’ve got a big rental car), and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building. If you’re looking for a solid base in Los Cristianos where you can relax between beach days and day trips around the island, this place hits that sweet spot between comfortable and reasonably priced.

  You could see the sea and mountains. The pool was good – although we were charged for sunbeds. The bathroom was clean, but the shower tiny.

  There was a disused bit of land between us and the sea/mountains. The shower controls were back to front. Took us a few showers to work out that we had hot water.

  What could be improved: L’appartamento in se è carino, come in foto, ma non è specificato che si trovi all interno di una struttura/grattacielo datato, vecchio, in ristrutturazione, usurato, umido e sporco.
  inoltre, per imprevisti o problematiche, il servizio dell hoss non è attivo sempre, anzi spesso, non rispondeva, anche ad urgenze, come quella di aver lasciato la chiave dentro la stanza per sbaglio, e non averci fornito una copia.
