You know what caught me off guard about Smart Escape? I wasn’t expecting much from Costa Del Silencio – honestly, the name sounds like some sleepy retirement village – but this place actually gets it right. The hotel sits on Calle de la Te, which is basically the main strip through this quiet corner of Tenerife, and I mean quiet in the best possible way. No disco beats thumping until 4 AM like you get in the crazier parts of the island.

The whole setup feels more like a well-designed apartment complex than your typical tourist trap hotel. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “let me tell you about our timeshare opportunities” nonsense you sometimes get hit with. The rooms have this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to be trendy, and honestly, the beds are proper comfortable. I’m talking about the kind of sleep where you actually forget you’re in a hotel room. The balconies face different directions depending on where you end up, but even the ones without ocean views aren’t bad since the whole area is pretty low-key residential. You can hear the waves if you listen for them, which is more than you can say for a lot of places that claim to be “seaside.”

What really works here is that Costa Del Silencio sits right between the airport chaos and the touristy madness of Los Cristianos – you’re maybe fifteen minutes from either direction, but it feels like you’re in this little bubble of calm. The staff actually seem to know the area well, not just the rehearsed recommendations you usually get. They pointed me toward this little local spot for breakfast that I never would have found otherwise, tucked away behind the main commercial area. The pool area gets busy mid-morning when families start filtering down, but early morning or late afternoon it’s perfect for actually relaxing. And here’s something practical – parking isn’t the nightmare you’d expect. There’s usually space, and you’re not paying resort prices for the privilege. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here; it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should.

  The apartment is very nice. There is a bus stop in front of the building. The nearest supermarkets are just a few steps away. All in all, very convenient.

  A spacious, comfortable, very clean apartment in a very nice complex with pool. A good position for getting around with the local bus stop just 10 metres away. The two balconies caught the sun well.

  Apartament położony w cichej i spokojnej lokalizacji, świetnie wyposażony, niczego nam nie brakowało. Wygodne łóżko, sofa, czysto schludnie, sporo miejsca, do tego 2 balkony, na których z przyjemnością spożywaliśmy śniadania i spędzaliśmy wieczory. Właścicielka bardzo miła i pomocna. Naprawdę polecamy ,a my sami wrócimy na pewno.
