You know what caught me off guard about Serenity? The name actually fits – and I’m usually pretty skeptical about hotels that promise tranquility right in their branding. But this little three-star gem on Calle la Degollada really does deliver on that promise, which honestly surprised me given how close it sits to all the action in Arona.

The location is sort of perfect if you think about it. You’re tucked away on this quiet residential street (la Degollada literally means “the throat” in Spanish – love these old street names), but you can still walk to the main tourist bits without breaking a sweat. I mean, you’re not exactly in the heart of the nightlife zone, which is actually a blessing when you’re trying to sleep. The sound of the occasional scooter puttering by in the morning is about as loud as it gets. What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to know everyone’s name by day two – there’s something to be said for smaller properties where you’re not just another room number.

The whole place has this understated charm that you don’t always find in the Canaries. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with flashy amenities or infinity pools, but the attention to detail is what gets you. The rooms are clean in that “my Spanish grandmother would approve” kind of way, and honestly, after staying in some of the massive resort complexes around here, there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right. The 9.6 rating makes sense once you spend a night there – it’s one of those scores that comes from consistently exceeding modest expectations rather than promising the moon and delivering half of it.

Parking was easier than I expected (always a concern in these older Spanish neighborhoods), and the check-in process was refreshingly human – actual conversation instead of scripted tourism speak. If you’re planning to visit during the summer months, book early because locals seem to know about this place, and word travels fast in Arona. The breakfast situation is simple but solid, and they actually source some items from vendors right here in town, which you’ll taste immediately. It’s the kind of place where you end up chatting with other guests instead of avoiding eye contact in the elevator, if that tells you anything about the vibe.

  The apartment was spacious, the neighborhood was very quiet, and parking was easy to find. Although one bedroom had no window, it didn't bother us because of the good lighting. Juan was very friendly and let us check in early with a welcome gift.

  Lovely modern and spacious apartment. very clean. Lots of.space inside and outside patio area. Everything very new and in good condition.
  
  What could be improved: There is no.allocated parking but we found spaces not far away.
  A bottle of wine was kindly left for us but a bottle of water would be nice plus perhaps a salt and pepper and oil

  Football next door very late one night. We didn't mind at all but might disturb baby or child.
  Probably doesn't happen often.
  The floodlights light the patio which is quite nice .
  A coffee maker would be.useful . There's a small coffee pot but.not electric one. There is a kettle so.not.desperate.

  Jako čist apartman i prostran s 2 kupaone. Posjeduje sve što je potrebno za duži boravak.

  What could be improved: Stationnements proches du logement limités (en Décembre):il faut parfois tourner un peu dans les rues proches pour trouver une place, un peu stressant pour la caution quand on a voiture de location.

  De locatie was ruim, schoon en alles was voorzien. Het lag iets verder uit de stad, maar daardoor voelde het wel alsof je aan de toeristische drukte kon ontsnappen
