Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place in Los Cristianos – I mean, “Sea View Penthouse” sounds like one of those oversold vacation rental names, you know? But walking into this fourth-floor unit, I actually had to stop and take it in. The terrace is genuinely massive, like bigger than most hotel rooms I’ve stayed in, and the view stretches right across to La Gomera on clear days. You can see the whole sweep of Los Cristianos beach from up there, plus all the ferry traffic heading to and from the other islands.
What really got me was how well thought out everything is. The terrace has this perfect morning sun spot where I’d have coffee, then later in the day you can shift to the shaded section when it gets too hot – and trust me, it gets hot down there even in winter. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile vacation rental style. Kitchen’s actually functional (I cooked a few meals using stuff from the Mercadona just down the hill), and the bedroom stays surprisingly cool even during the day. Location-wise, you’re maybe a seven-minute walk down to the main beach area where all the restaurants are, but far enough up the hill that you don’t get the late-night noise from the bars along the waterfront. There’s decent parking on the street too, which honestly is half the battle in Los Cristianos.
The only thing I’d mention is that it’s a bit of a climb back up if you’ve been out drinking in the port area – not terrible, but you’ll feel it. Also, the building’s elevator is one of those tiny European ones, so if you’re traveling with big suitcases, just be prepared for that. But honestly, for a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it delivers. The terrace alone makes it worth it – I spent more time out there than anywhere else, just watching the boats and planes coming in. If you’re the type who actually wants to hang out at your accommodation rather than just sleep there, this place makes sense. Plus being in Los Cristianos means you’re close to everything but not stuck in the chaos of Playa de las Américas next door.
