The apartment sits right on Calle Magnolia, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to hear the ocean (especially at night when everything quiets down), but far enough from the main Puerto de Santiago strip that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

What really got me was how thoughtfully set up everything was – I mean, someone actually lives in this area and knows what matters. The kitchen has proper knives, not those useless butter knives most rentals stock, and there’s a decent coffee maker because, you know what, that morning coffee hits different when you’re watching the sun come up over the Atlantic. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment (tested it from the bedroom during a work call), and the shower has excellent pressure, which… trust me, after hiking around Teide all day, that matters. The whole place feels clean without that overwhelming bleach smell some rentals have, and the bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back.

Here’s the thing about Los Gigantes that most people don’t realize until they’re here – it’s not just about those massive cliffs everyone photographs. Yeah, they’re incredible, especially around sunset when the light hits them just right, but the real magic is how peaceful it gets once the day-trippers head back to their resort hotels. From this apartment, you can walk down to the marina in maybe eight minutes (I timed it), grab fresh fish at one of the local spots, then head back up with a bottle of wine and just… exist. The parking situation is decent too – there’s usually space on the street, though you might have to circle once or twice during peak season. One small thing: the walls are a bit thin, so if you’re unlucky enough to get noisy neighbors, you’ll hear them, but honestly, most people staying here seem to be the type who appreciate the tranquility. It’s not a party destination, it’s more for people who want to actually experience this part of Tenerife without the crowds. For a three-star place, it punches way above its weight.
