Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first heard “studio apartment” – you know how those can go either way. But this place on Paseo Las Americas actually surprised me in the best possible way. The moment you step onto that little balcony, you get why it’s called “Sea view” – and I mean a proper sea view, not some sliver of blue you need to crane your neck to spot. The whole northern coastline of Tenerife spreads out in front of you, and on clear mornings (which, let’s be real, is most mornings here), you can see all the way to the dramatic cliffs that make this part of the island so different from the busy south.
What really sold me on this place was how thoughtfully everything’s laid out. The studio setup doesn’t feel cramped at all – there’s actually clever storage everywhere, and the bed area feels separate from the little kitchen space without any awkward room dividers. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Mercadona down the road, though honestly, with all the local restaurants within walking distance, I found myself cooking way less than planned. The WiFi is solid (I was working remotely part of the time), and the shower pressure – well, let’s just say it’s better than half the four-star hotels I’ve stayed in. One thing that really stood out was how quiet it stays at night. San Marcos isn’t exactly a party town like Playa de las Americas, which means you actually get to sleep, but you’re still close enough to catch a bus south if you want some nightlife.
The area itself is what makes this place special, though. San Marcos has this authentic Canarian feel that you don’t get in the resort areas – there’s a proper town square, locals walking their dogs on the black sand beach, and this fantastic little seafood place called El Rincón that I stumbled across on my second day. The walk to the beach takes maybe three minutes, and while the sand is volcanic (so it gets hot – bring flip-flops), the swimming is actually fantastic once you get used to the Atlantic temperature. Parking was never an issue, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife will tell you is no small thing. The host was super responsive too – I had a question about the washing machine on day one, and they sorted it out within an hour. Look, it’s not luxury in the marble-bathroom sense, but it’s genuinely comfortable, the location is unbeatable if you want to experience real Tenerife rather than just tourist Tenerife, and that 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. I’d definitely book it again.

This is ideal spot for the vacation of your life! – Iryna from Poland – 19 March 2025 (10/10)
It is the most beautiful stay we've ever had! The apartment is so clean, nice and cozy, you can find there everything you need. We had the most aesthetic breakfasts on the balcony. There are blankets and table games that you could play on the balcony while watching the most amazing sunsets and admiring ocean waves. The view is literally breathtaking. And you can also see Teide from other side of apartment. Our hosts were extremely sweet and we had great communication. There is a nice beach nearby with lifeguards, wc, showers. There are few restaurants with a view and good paella. It's also really close to city mall and Mercadona.
Exceptional – Pavlina from Netherlands – 27 February 2025 (10/10)
We return after one year and again very happy with everything .
This apartment is a little gem! – Katarzyna from Poland – 8 September 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is very clean and very well-equipped. It's nicely decorated with nautical motifs. The view from the balcony is breathtaking especially at the sunset. From the other side you can see the Teide volcano if there are no clouds. The hosts are very responsive and you can feel they really care about the guests' comfort. There are even binoculars to watch the birds flying outside and ice in the freezer! The bed is very comfortable and there are a lot of pillows. Quick wi-fi. The apartment is located on the 8th floor of a block of flats (but from the street level it's the second floor), which has quite a few parking places in front of it. There's a nice welcome gift from the hosts. There's a short drive to Icod and easy access to TF-5 if you want to travel around the island like we did.
What could be improved: Sometimes you might have a problem parking your car in front of the building when you come back late in the evening -then you have to look for a parking space in the neighbouring streets, but fortunately it's not a problem to find a parking space nearby.Best stay ever – Błażej from Poland – 29 July 2024 (10/10)
This was the best apartment I have ever been so far. Amazing view apartment clean and tidy equipped with all necessary stuff. Hosts are very kind and helpful and price is ridiculous low.

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation. The view was fantastic and everything was exceptionally clean. Exceptional – Kinga from Poland – 26 May 2024 (10/10)
Great stay, very helpful owners! Beautiful view of the ocean. I heartily recommend 10/10!
What could be improved: –It's not just a rental – it's a true Home – Indraja from Netherlands – 7 May 2024 (10/10)
We knew that accommodation has sea view but we did not expect such a beauty!
The host was beyond friendly, left us welcoming gift that saved our the first evening because shops are closed on Sundays.
We had a feeling that we would love to buy this property not just rent and live there forever.
The space is small but so well mentained.
Highly recommend! We look forward coming back!
What could be improved: Icod de los Vinos has a huge parking problem.
There is a free parking in front of the building but if you return home late, it's hard to find parking spot. But it is there! 😉Very good host, messages on arrival and departure. – Pavlina from Netherlands – 21 February 2024 (10/10)
Amazing studio, you have everything there, even toiletries. Views and listing to the sea…just great .
Amazing – Ioana from Romania – 13 February 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was amazing. The view is incomparable and the host is very friendly and helpful. For me, that was the third trip to Tenerife and this place was the best until now. We had a lot of parking places, the restaurants nearby were great and easy to reach by foot. We had everything we needed in the apartment and it was a great surprise from Nicky to wait us with a little “welcome package” composed of a bottle of wine, some biscuits and chips.
Also the cleanliness was exemplary, nothing to comment. We thank Jon and Nicky for their hospitality and clearly recommend their apartment warmly.
To Jon and Nicky: Best regards from Romania 🤗🇷🇴 (Ioana and Andreea)
