I’ll be honest – I wasn’t prepared for how stunning Royal Hideaway Corales Villas would be when I first pulled up to that address on Calle Alcojora. You know that feeling when you round a corner and suddenly the ocean opens up in front of you? That’s exactly what happens here. The property sits on this dramatic cliff edge in Adeje, and I mean, the views are absolutely ridiculous – like someone photoshopped the horizon but forgot to mention it’s actually real. The whole place feels more like a private estate than a hotel, which makes sense because it’s all individual villas scattered across the property. Each one has its own infinity pool (yeah, really), and when I say infinity, I mean you’re literally staring out at the Atlantic while you’re floating there.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to make it feel so… well, not touristy, even though you’re right in the heart of Tenerife’s hotel zone. The design is all clean lines and natural materials – lots of volcanic stone and weathered wood that actually fits with the landscape instead of fighting it. The staff here genuinely seem to know what they’re doing too, not just going through the motions. Check-in was this seamless thing where they basically just walked me to my villa and explained everything without that forced enthusiasm you get at some places. And honestly, the villa itself – I kept walking around thinking there had to be some mistake. Floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere, this massive terrace that wraps around the building, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab some stuff from the local markets (there’s a great one about ten minutes away in La Caleta, by the way).

The location is pretty perfect if you ask me. You’re tucked away enough that it feels private and quiet – no street noise, no crowds wandering through – but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The little fishing village of La Caleta is right there if you want proper seafood without the tourist markup, and if you’re into hiking, the trails up into the hills start practically from the hotel’s back door. I spent one morning just walking those paths and barely saw another person for two hours. The beach situation is interesting too – there’s this small rocky cove below the property that hardly anyone knows about, plus the bigger beaches are just a short drive if you want more space to spread out. What really sold me though was sitting on that terrace in the evening with a glass of wine, watching the sun disappear behind La Gomera island. I mean, you can’t put a price on that kind of quiet, can you? The whole experience just feels… I don’t know, grown-up in the best way. Like they figured out how to do luxury without all the noise and fuss.

  Beautiful property, rooms cleaned twice daily and no problem getting a sunbed any time of the day
  
  What could be improved: Just a bit of constructive criticism. You could offer Netflix on a daily charge or at least some films to rent on the TV . Property is quite far up a hill but that can’t be helped

  Very modern and clean with a great view from the balcony. The pool area was lovely with comfy day beds and never full during our visit. Breakfast was exceptional with everything you could wish for. Staff were friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: It was a 30 minute walk down to the sea (but on the plus side you got great views). A shuttle bus was laid on but only between 6pm and 8:40pm….would have been better in the day too and later at night. There were plenty of taxis though at around €6

  Absolutely stunning. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. My birthday stay was everything and more I was even gifted champagne and cake on my birthday which made my day as I didn’t expect it. My partner & I will definitely be back we absolutely loved it.

  Everything was exceptional! This hotel is immaculate — the rooms are stunning, featuring beautiful bathrooms and balconies with views overlooking the pool and the sea in the background.
  
  The staff couldn’t be more welcoming and kind. The food was delicious, and the facilities — from the bar and kids’ club to Pilates and the gym — were all fantastic.
  
  It turned out to be one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We were initially concerned it might not be family-friendly, but we couldn’t have been more wrong!
  
  What could be improved: The only downside of this hotel is that it’s not particularly geared toward families with children. While it does have a kids’ club and a small kids’ pool within that area, I wouldn’t recommend it for families seeking full-on entertainment or the typical kids’ pool with slides and splash zones.
  
  That said, it still worked well for our family. Our little boy was truly spoiled by the kids’ club staff and thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The staff overall were incredibly warm and welcoming—not just to him, but to all of us. Despite the limited family-focused amenities, we had a lovely stay and would stay again with our 4 year old.
