Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about the Royal Hideaway Corales? It’s not just perched on some random cliff – it’s actually built into the volcanic rock formations of La Caleta, and honestly, the architecture feels like it grew out of the landscape rather than being dropped on top of it. I mean, most hotels in Adeje are fine, but this one sits in this little pocket between Costa Adeje and Playa San Juan where the coastline gets really dramatic. The infinity pools (there are several) literally seem to spill into the Atlantic, and from certain angles, you can’t tell where the hotel ends and the ocean begins.
What really sets this place apart – and I’ve stayed at plenty of five-stars in the Canaries – is how they’ve managed to make it feel intimate despite being pretty substantial in size. The suites all have these massive terraces, some with private pools, and the way they’re positioned means you’re not staring into your neighbor’s breakfast. The adults-only thing isn’t just a marketing gimmick either; there’s this genuine sense of calm that you don’t get at family resorts. I actually noticed they’ve got this clever design where the common areas flow into each other naturally, so you never feel crowded even when the place is full. The spa carved into the cliff face is sort of ridiculous in the best way – you’re getting a massage while listening to waves crash below you.
Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here: you’re close enough to walk to the little fishing village of La Caleta (maybe 10 minutes along the coastal path), but far enough from the main Costa Adeje strip that you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise. The hotel has this partnership with a local restaurant right on the water where they’ll arrange dinner – it’s not fancy, just incredibly fresh fish and the kind of place where locals actually eat. Parking’s handled by valet, which is smart because the roads around here can be tricky if you’re not used to driving in Tenerife. Check-in was seamless, though I’d recommend arriving in the afternoon rather than morning since the sunset views from the lobby are genuinely spectacular. The staff seems to know the island really well too – they steered me toward this little hiking trail that starts near Barranco del Infierno that I never would have found otherwise. Sure, it’s pricey, but that 9.2 rating makes sense when you’re here. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time at the hotel rather than just using it as a base.

Having stayed in Tenerife numerous times, we decided the give The Royal Hideaway Corales Hotel a try.
From the check in , the staff were so friendly and advised our room was not ready so we decided to have lunch in The Starfish restaurant, A trip in the golf buggy took us there. The turbot and burger was exceptional , and the surroundings so sophisticated and relaxed. A great start to our holiday, Our room was just perfect, beautiful views, so clean, mini bar fully stocked and the cleaning staff so fussy with every detail. The pool area so relaxed and stylish, plenty of beds available. So good that we are returning again to the Corales Villas at the end of March 2025. Well done to all staff.Sara from United Kingdom (9/10)
Gorgeous spacious, soundproof rooms with large patio area overlooking sea . Well situated for restaurants, sea, walking and bus stop right outside.

The hotel is spotless and well designed with excellent well trained staff. All rooms have a stunning view of the sea and sunset with sunloungers. The breakast was exceptional – justly earning all the accolades. The hotel is well placed to enjoy the whole of Costa Adeje and, in particular La Caleta, the small fishing village which is more authentic than the rest of this coastline. There are numerous restaurants of a good standard and cafes to enjoy and locals still live in the vicinity. We ate in the hotel at the Starfish restaurant which was excellent. We found the food on offer in the Trattoria unexciting.

Exceptional resort, probably the nicest I’ve stayed in Europe and close enough to some of the best I’ve experienced in Asia too. Biggest pro is the gastronomy, from the room service to the rooftop cocktails to El Rincón, San Ho, il Boccacino and the royal breakfast – the food across most of the resort is incredible! The pool side food at the main pool leaves something to be desired but that’s a minor complaint.
Staff were incredible, particularly the cleaning team who clean your room as if it’s your home, organising your things and paying such incredible attention to detail. The resort has so much to it that you could potentially not leave for a week and be perfectly content, but that said – we did venture out to nearby la Caleta several nights eating in its lovely little restaurants and cafes which is a big plus from a location perspective.
