Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Santa Cruz, but this rooftop suite on Avenida Tres de Mayo actually surprised me. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and it’s just… better than you expected? That’s what happened here. The elevator ride up to the 8th floor builds anticipation, and then you step into this space with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the entire city like some kind of living postcard.
What really gets me is how they’ve positioned everything to maximize those views – I mean, you can see straight down to the harbor from the living area, and if you crane your neck just right, you catch glimpses of the Teide peak on clear days. The suite itself feels more like a well-appointed apartment than a hotel room, honestly. There’s actual counter space in the kitchenette (rare for European hotels, trust me), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t make you feel like you’re washing your hair in a trickle. The bed sits perfectly positioned so you wake up to that cityscape – though fair warning, if you’re a light sleeper, you might hear some street noise from the avenue below during weekend evenings. Nothing terrible, just the normal sounds of a city that actually has life in it.
Here’s what I really appreciate about this place – it’s in the thick of things without being touristy. You’re a five-minute walk from Plaza de España, but you’re also surrounded by actual neighborhood life. There’s a fantastic little café two blocks down toward the port that serves proper cortados, and the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África is close enough that you can grab fresh fruit and local cheese if you want to use that kitchenette. The building itself is one of those modern blocks that doesn’t win architecture prizes but gets the job done well – good elevator, decent soundproofing between units, and the kind of practical design that makes you comfortable rather than impressed. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel theater. They just handed over the keys and gave me the WiFi password without trying to upsell me on spa treatments I don’t want. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Óriási apartman nagy tetőterasszal.
What could be improved: Érkezéskor a kódok nehezen akartak működni, mert kicsit hamarabb odaértünk, mint 16 óra.
A 16 órás becsekkolás nagyon kései.Exceptional – Piñeiro-estrella from Spain – 30 December 2024 (10/10)
