Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Residence Paraiso del sur on Avenida Adeje, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little apartment-style hotel sits right in the heart of Adeje, and I mean *right* in it – you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the bus station that connects you to everywhere else in Tenerife, which is actually pretty clutch if you’re planning to explore beyond the tourist bubble.

The thing about Paraiso del sur is that it feels more like staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment building than a typical hotel, and honestly, that’s what makes it work. I stayed in one of the second-floor units (there’s a lift, thank god, because Spanish staircases and suitcases don’t mix well), and the space was surprisingly generous. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – I actually cooked a few meals there, and the local Mercadona is just down the street if you want to grab groceries and eat like a human instead of surviving on hotel breakfast. The balcony overlooks the street, which sounds terrible but is actually kind of perfect for people-watching with your morning coffee. You’ll hear some traffic during the day, but it dies down at night, and the sound of life happening below is oddly comforting.

What really surprised me was how well-connected this spot is without being in the chaos of Playa de las Américas. The beach at Playa del Duque is about a 10-minute walk – and I mean the *good* beach, not the crowded tourist strip. The staff here seem to actually live in the area, so they know things like which restaurants are worth your time (there’s this little Canarian place two blocks over that doesn’t even have a sign, but serves the best papas arrugadas I had on the island). The building itself is clean without being sterile, and the Wi-Fi actually works, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out bus schedules or send photos home. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle on the street, but there’s a public lot nearby, and honestly, you might not even need a car from here. The 8.7 rating makes sense once you settle in – it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtful and genuine, which beats flashy resort amenities that don’t actually work half the time.

  Great studio equipped with everything you need.
  Close to everything, just outside the property plenty of restaurants ( very good all of them) grocery store, Farmacy . Less than 10 minutes walk to the beach, 15 minutes walk to the mall . The property is in a very good location. The owner very nice guy , he was able to arrange for me to rent a parking spot on the property

  Great wee studio apartment just what I was looking for. Very clean and good location. Pool area was not busy which was a good thing. If this apartment is available again I would stay there again 😃

  About the apartment: tidy, Wi-Fi works well, but that's all.. you won't find liquid soap, washing powder, or anywhere to hang a bathrobe or towel, but .. but you will find cockroaches (I caught one first evening and owner sow it..), a washing machine full of water and mud, and an extremely hard bed with uncomfortable pillows.
  
    About the place: Close to shops, cafes, travel agencies, beaches. Constantly playing music from the "Hard Rock" hotel, drunk russians in the neighborhood who pretend to be Ukrainians, smells coming from nearby cafes. If you like to cook at home, you won't find any vegetable shop, you'll have to be content. What can you find in "Super Dino", and there is not even a dill there.. The problem is with parking, you may have to leave the car a kilometer away.
  
   If you decide to rent an e-scooter, the nearest rental point is 7 km away.
  
    The price of a taxi from the southern airport is 30-45 euros, as luck would have it. It is a problem to "catch" a taxi from this place, you may have to wait for an hour when the buses run, only God knows, or maybe not..
  
   It's true, the check-in rules are strange at 3-5 p.m., later you will pay 20 euros for late check-in. You have to leave the studio at 10 a.m.I asked for permission to stay in the studio until 10.30 or till 12 o'clock, but the answer was negative.
  
   The best thing about this place is the beautiful coast line.

  What could be improved: purtroppo il parcheggio è una delle problematiche della zona, c'è un parcheggio sotto l'appartamento ma che va prenotato con mesi di anticipo quindi abbiamo avuto un po di difficoltà per la macchina. ma per il resto tutto ok

  All mat ordnet jeg selv . Fin og praktisk leilighet i 2.etasje. Stor og behagelig seng, med en liten svakhet på den ene siden. Stor og god veranda/balkong. Bra med nødvendig utstyr og fasiliteter (manglet oppvaskbørste). Lekkert og funksjonelt bad. I komplekset veldig fint badeanlegg og plass for soling. Hyggelige og service-mindede verter.
