You know what struck me first about Regency Country Club? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet little street called Armiche, which honestly feels like finding a secret in the middle of Playa de las Americas. I mean, you’re literally minutes from all the beach chaos and tourist mayhem, but somehow this place manages to feel like you’ve stepped into a different world entirely.

The apartment suites thing is where they really get it right – and I say this as someone who’s gotten pretty tired of cramped hotel rooms over the years. These aren’t just rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner; you’re getting proper kitchens, separate living areas, the works. It’s perfect for those longer stays where you actually want to live a bit, not just crash between beach sessions. The whole setup reminds me more of a residential complex than a typical hotel, which explains why you’ll see a lot of repeat visitors who treat it like their Spanish home base. The staff actually remembers people’s names and coffee preferences – that kind of thing.

Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk to the main Playa de las Americas strip, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you can cut through some of the back streets and hit the quieter parts of the beach without dealing with the crowds near the big resort hotels. The local bus stop is right there too, so getting to other parts of Tenerife is actually pretty straightforward. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which – trust me – is saying something in this area.

What really won me over though is how the place feels during different times of day. Mornings are genuinely peaceful; you can hear birds instead of just traffic and construction. The pool area gets decent sun most of the day without being completely exposed to wind, and by evening it’s quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation without shouting. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with flashy amenities or over-the-top service, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The 8.3 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of place that consistently delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not.

I’d say it hits that sweet spot for people who want to be close to the action but not drowning in it. Families seem to love it because of the space and the more relaxed vibe, but I’ve seen plenty of couples treating it as a base for exploring the island too. The three-star rating is probably about right – you’re not getting luxury resort treatment, but you’re getting something that feels more authentic and livable than a lot of the bigger places down the road.

  I loved the hotels aesthetic, and the exotic vibe. The hotels provided a lot services like mini golf, massages, a library, and entertainment for young & old. The pool and the build in bar were also a family favourite!

  The hotel is situated outside the town which is great and provides a bus service every morning and evening. very practical. There are a few restaurants in the village and a small supermarket.

  The pool area was really great and so was all of the common areas and the staff were lovely. We knew the location was a bit far from everything so we rented a car while staying there and it was perfect since there weren’t so many people there and no need to fight for benches by the pool and so on. We had massages in the spa and that were great and the pool bar was also quite nice.
