You know what surprised me about the Ramada Residences in Costa Adeje? It’s actually tucked away in Torviscas Alto, which honestly turned out to be perfect – you get that residential feel without the tourist madness down by the beach, but you’re still close enough to walk to everything that matters. The location on Calle Galicia feels like you’re staying in a proper neighborhood, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The building itself has that modern aparthotel vibe that works really well for Tenerife – clean lines, lots of glass, and thankfully decent soundproofing because let’s be real, that matters when you’re trying to sleep off a day in the sun. What I really appreciated was how they’ve set up the apartments themselves. The kitchenettes are actually functional (shocking, I know), and the balconies face different directions depending on your room, so some get those amazing sunset views toward La Gomera while others look inland toward the mountains. The staff at reception were genuinely helpful too – not just the scripted tourist information stuff, but actual local insights about which beaches to hit when the trade winds pick up or where to grab groceries without paying resort prices.

Here’s the thing about staying in Torviscas Alto versus right on the coast – you’re about a 10-minute walk down to Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos, which is perfect because you can escape back up the hill when the promenade gets too crowded. The area around the hotel has that lived-in feel with actual Spanish families, a few local bars where you can get a proper cortado, and honestly much better parking than you’ll find closer to the beach. I stayed there in shoulder season and it was blissfully quiet at night, though I imagine it gets busier in peak winter months when everyone’s escaping the European cold. The pool area gets decent sun most of the day, and while it’s not huge, it never felt crowded – probably because most guests are out exploring rather than lounging around the hotel all day. One small thing that made a difference: the WiFi actually worked well throughout the building, which you can’t always count on in this part of Tenerife. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between having your own space and being close to all the action, this place delivers without breaking the bank.

  We didn't have breakfast in the restaurant, or in the cafe next door as we self catered. We did have drinks and lunch some days and staff were very friendly and it was good service. Adult only bar in the late afternoon/evening was great – good views although not always that busy, which is sometimes nice!
  Also the balconies were very spacious and sunbeds and dining table/chairs on all.
