You know what really struck me about PRESTIGE Apartment Tenerife? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think with apartment hotels. I mean, when you’re walking down Calle Ten-bel (which, let’s be real, isn’t the most glamorous street name), you might wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into. But then you step inside and it’s like… oh, okay, I get it now.

The thing about this place is that it feels like someone’s really nice apartment that they just happen to rent out, not some sterile hotel room with generic artwork. The apartments have this lived-in quality that’s actually comfortable – proper kitchens where you can actually cook something more complex than instant ramen, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re in a cramped airplane lavatory. What really sold me was the attention to small stuff that most places completely ignore. The shower pressure is actually decent (miracle!), there’s enough counter space in the kitchen to prep a real meal, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room decides to stream Netflix.

Being in Arona puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the tourist action in Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas – we’re talking maybe a 10-minute drive – but you’re not dealing with the constant noise and crowds that come with staying right in the thick of it. The area around Ten-bel is mostly residential, so you get a taste of how locals actually live, which I found pretty refreshing after doing the typical resort thing on other trips. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven around southern Tenerife will tell you is a genuine blessing. The check-in process was surprisingly smooth too – no standing around for 20 minutes while they “find your reservation” or whatever that dance is about. The staff clearly know what they’re doing, and more importantly, they seem to actually care about whether you have a good stay rather than just going through the motions. That 9.2 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place genuinely delivers on the basics and then some. If you’re the type who wants a home base for exploring the island rather than a resort where you’ll spend every waking moment, this is definitely worth considering.
