You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I walked into apartment 505 on Calle Médico Ernesto Castro, I wasn’t expecting such a sleek setup in what’s honestly a pretty residential neighborhood. The loft feels way more upscale than you’d imagine from the street – I mean, the building itself is fine, nothing fancy, but once you’re inside this unit, it’s like stepping into someone’s carefully curated Instagram feed, except it’s actually comfortable to live in.

The pool situation is what really sold me though. It’s not some tiny plunge pool situation – there’s actually space to swim a few laps if you’re into that, and the deck area around it gets incredible afternoon sun. I spent most of my mornings out there with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. The whole complex is pretty quiet during the day since most people are off doing touristy things, so you get this surprisingly peaceful vibe that’s hard to find in Santa Cruz. What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly thought about the details – good WiFi (actually fast, not just “available”), decent water pressure, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to hit the local markets and cook. The Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África is maybe a 10-minute drive, and honestly, grabbing fresh stuff there and cooking on the terrace became my favorite part of the stay.

Here’s the thing about the location though – it’s not touristy at all, which is either perfect or problematic depending on what you’re after. You’re definitely going to want a car or be comfortable with taxis, because while it’s still Santa Cruz, you’re in a residential pocket that’s about 15 minutes from the main action around Plaza de España. I actually loved this because you get to see how locals actually live, plus parking here is infinitely easier than trying to deal with the city center. The building’s got a secure garage spot, which saved me so much stress. The only minor thing is that the elevator can be a bit slow, and if you’re hauling heavy luggage, well, just factor in an extra few minutes. But honestly, for the price point and that 8.8 rating, this place delivers. It’s got that sweet spot of feeling special without being pretentious, and practical without being boring.

  Es un complejo ya con unos años pero está en la mejor zona de Tenerife y las indicaciones del dueño para las llaves fueron precisas ,el apartamento tiene de todo lo necesario para pasar la semana y esta todo muy limpio y los vecinos que están allí viviendo todo el año geniales ,solo me queda volver gracias por todo jacob

  Muy bonito , decorado con gusto y cariño.. muy practico , con lavadora y todos los electrodomésticos . Urbanización tranquilisima, muy silenciosa y con unos bonitos jardines.Cama muy cómoda . La verdad es que estuvimos muy bien y Tacoronte es un lugar maravilloso.
  
  What could be improved: Son apartamentos bastante antiguos , aunque cuidados, se nota , sobre todo el baño. No pongo pegas Porque estaba limpísimo. Otro problema es q hay muchas escaleras y la terraza es mínima .. pero para nosotros tampoco fue algo que nos disgustara.

  Nous avons adoré la résidence dans laquelle se trouve le logement : une vue magnifique sur l'océan, une piscine à disposition. Le logement était fonctionnel et bien décoré. On s'y sent comme chez soi.
