You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to 9 Calle Los Emigrantes – honestly, the street’s pretty quiet and you might even walk past the building if you’re not paying attention. But once you climb up to the first floor, this place completely changes the game. The owner has this way of making you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile rental, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The apartment itself is exactly what “acogedor” promises – genuinely cozy without being cramped. The living room has this warm lighting that makes you want to settle in with a book, and the kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking real knives, not those useless butter knives most places give you). What really got me was the attention to small details – proper hangers in the closet, decent water pressure in the shower, and thank god, blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun. The whole place feels lived-in but spotless, if that makes sense. I spent a good chunk of my evenings just hanging out on the couch because it was honestly more comfortable than going out.

Las Eras itself is sort of this perfect middle ground – you’re not stuck in tourist chaos, but you’re not completely isolated either. There’s a little grocery store maybe two minutes away that stays open later than you’d expect, and the locals who run it are ridiculously friendly once you attempt even basic Spanish. Parking can be a bit tricky during the day (narrow streets, you know how it is), but evenings are totally fine. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after dinner, which was perfect for me since I’m one of those people who needs actual silence to sleep well. One thing I’ll mention – the building’s old, so you’ll hear some creaking and the occasional footstep from upstairs, but nothing that kept me awake. Actually, there’s something kind of charming about staying somewhere with a bit of character instead of those cookie-cutter modern places. If you’re looking for a base to explore the area without dealing with hotel nonsense, and you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing how people live here rather than just passing through, this place nails it.

  Las Eras is a small quiet city, away from the crowds from other ones, having a small gulf with black sand, so no big waves.
  There is one market in the area, then maybe a rented car is a must for most of the people.
  
  What could be improved: About the apartment itself.
  -The ventilator from bathroom can be changed as it is noisy and during the night can disturb some of you
  – 2nd bedroom having on-top beds is quite cold in autumn as we were, but can be good during summer, but anyhow heater is provided.
  – During windy days the wind can be felt in the 2nd bedroom so we could not use it and this maybe can be improved

  The property is located near the water with an excellent view over the ocean. We like quite places and this is one of them. The apartment is really big and very clean. You can prepare your own food or warm food ready made . We have had a rented car and the location is perfect in the middle of all the attractions on the island.
  
  What could be improved: Really generous space for 5 people, clean and with nice facilities. We have got a welcome pack off chocolate, whit wine, champagne and a bottle of water in the refrigerator. On TV you can find everything from local tv to Netflix or other.
