The building has this clean, modern look that feels refreshingly understated compared to some of the flashier resorts you’ll find around Tenerife.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about San Miguel de Abona — most people rush right through it on their way to the southern beaches, but they’re missing out. This spot gives you the best of both worlds: you’re close enough to hit Playa de Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje in about 15 minutes by car, but you’re also tucked away from the tourist madness. I mean, there’s actual parking here, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot near the main resort areas will appreciate. Plus, you get these glimpses of local Canarian life that you just don’t see in the hotel zones.

The Accommodations

My room was spacious — and I’m not just saying that because I’ve been crammed into tiny European hotel rooms before. The layout actually makes sense, with a proper seating area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The balcony became my morning coffee spot, looking out over the neighborhood with those volcanic hills in the distance. What really impressed me was the attention to detail: good lighting where you need it, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that doesn’t require you to be a contortionist to use the shower.

The on-site restaurant surprised me — honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but they do this great mix of Canarian specialties and international dishes that actually work. The staff clearly knows their regulars, and even as a short-term guest, I felt like they remembered my preferences after just a day or two. Breakfast isn’t one of those overwhelming buffet situations, but it covers all the bases with some local touches that show they’re paying attention to where they are.

Look, I get why couples rate this place so highly — it’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable without being stuffy, and romantic without trying too hard. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience it yourself. You’re not paying resort prices, but you’re getting that feeling of having your own little corner of Tenerife. The neighborhood walks are lovely, especially in the evening when the light hits those traditional Canarian houses just right. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax instead of feeling like you need to be “on” all the time, which — let’s face it — is exactly what you want from a good hotel.

  Everything was super nice. We stayed for one week where we played golf for the first half of the day and then came to the apartment and relaxed on the terrace. Then it was just a short walk to many very nice restaurants. The apartment met all our expectations and a bit more 🙂

  Easy to find, well-equipped appartment perfect for family with kids. Big-sized heated pool with side bar, close to the see. Great start point for a lot of trips around. Plenty of great restaurants and coffeteries around, easy parking close to the apartment. Apartment looks recontructed, we enjoyed washing machine so no need to take a lot of clothes for kids. Wifi available for free. Definitely worth to come! Considering return and fully recommending.

  we appreciate that the owner left everything you need in the apartment( enough towels, shower gel, shampoo )
  the terrace's a very beautiful place but unfortunately, you don't have too much sun there, however, you have the swimming pool that has heated water and to summarize was a good place to spend the time.
  I want to mention that the bed was awesome, we really had a great sleep
