You know what struck me first about Paraíso del Encanto? The name actually fits – and I’m usually pretty cynical about these overly romantic hotel names. But honestly, there’s something genuinely charming about this place that caught me off guard. It’s tucked away on Avenida Adeje, which most tourists zoom past on their way to the flashier resorts closer to the beach, but that’s actually part of its appeal. The location gives you this perfect balance where you’re not drowning in crowds, but you’re still close enough to walk to Playa del Duque in about fifteen minutes (though I’d recommend the bus if you’re carrying beach gear – it’s a bit of a hike back uphill).

The hotel itself feels like someone’s well-loved family place that happened to grow into a business. I mean, it’s officially three stars, but the 8.7 rating makes total sense when you spend time there. The rooms aren’t huge – let’s be honest about that – but they’re thoughtfully laid out, and the housekeeping is spot-on. What really got me was how quiet it stays, even during peak season. The building’s set back from the main road, so you don’t get that constant hum of traffic that plagues so many places in this part of Tenerife. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing too, which isn’t always a given around here. Check-in was smooth, and they actually had useful local recommendations beyond the typical tourist traps.

Here’s the thing – if you’re looking for a massive pool complex and nightly entertainment, this isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere that feels authentically Canarian without the tourist circus, Paraíso del Encanto hits that sweet spot. The breakfast (which I wasn’t expecting much from, honestly) surprised me with actual local touches – proper Spanish tortilla, not the rubbery hotel version, and they source some ingredients from nearby farms. Parking’s included, which saves you a headache in this area, and you’re perfectly positioned to explore the real Adeje beyond the resort strip. The GF Isabel hotel down the street gets all the attention, but sometimes being the quieter neighbor works in your favor.

  Apartments für eine oder zwei Personen. Die Küche ist ok. Waschmaschine. Es ist alles zum Reinigen vorhanden. Das Frühstück auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf das Meer ist wunderbar. Der Eigentümer der Wohnung ist ansprechbar und immer bereit zu helfen . Restaurants, Geschäfte, Bushaltestelle, alles ist fußläufig erreichbar.

  El apartamento hermoso, cómodo, completo, los anfitriones super atentos.
  
  What could be improved: No hay playas lindas cercanas, hay que recurrir a la guagua si o si y funcionan bastante poco. Y no hay demasiada oferta gastronómica en la zona. Si estás solo y sin vehículo, es bastante a trasmano. Y si buscas playas lindas no es la zona recomendable.
