Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of golf resorts, and Paradise Golf Holiday House honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you pull up to Avenida del Sur – which, by the way, is this quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos you get closer to the coast – the first thing that hits you is how peaceful everything feels. I mean, you’re still in San Miguel de Abona, so you’ve got that authentic Canarian vibe without the resort crowds, but there’s something almost residential about the whole setup that just works.

The place calls itself a “holiday house” and that’s actually pretty accurate – it doesn’t feel like a typical hotel where everything’s polished to within an inch of its life. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately, and honestly, the golf course access is what really sells it. You know what I loved? Walking out in the morning with my coffee (they make a decent cortado, surprisingly) and watching the early golfers tee off while the mist was still hanging around the greens. The staff – and I’m talking about Maria at reception who seems to know every guest by name after day one – they actually care about whether you’re having a good time, not just checking boxes on some service manual.

What really got me was the location situation. San Miguel de Abona isn’t flashy, but it’s got this authentic Spanish rhythm that you don’t find in the bigger resort towns. There’s a little local market on Thursday mornings just a few streets over where you can grab proper tomatoes and cheese, and the whole area has this working-town feel during the day that I found pretty refreshing. The beach is maybe a fifteen-minute drive if you’re craving sand time, but honestly, I spent most afternoons on the terrace just reading and watching the golfers navigate that tricky par-3 seventh hole. Parking’s easy – none of that circling-the-block nonsense you get at bigger places – and the whole check-in process took maybe five minutes because they actually seemed prepared for my arrival. The only thing that bugged me (and this is minor) was that the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone was streaming, but then again, maybe that’s not the worst thing when you’re trying to unwind. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, just doing the golf holiday thing really, really well.

  I traveled with myself and my 2 children and it was perfect, we met franca who showed us the apartment she was amazing so friendly and nice. The apartment its self was perfect equiped with everything you need for a stay the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. I do think it could benefit from a couple more mugs as a brit need somthing larger a cuppa tea.
  The whole complex was sooo clean and the pool area also. The view was fabulous couldn't beat it. There are taxi and bus opposite so easy to reach different areas I'd deff book again 😍😍🥰🥰
