Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along Tenerife’s coast, but Amarilla Breeze actually surprised me – and honestly, that 9.8 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense. When you pull up to 222 Calle Viñatigo, you’re not in some touristy nightmare zone. San Miguel de Abona is still pretty authentic, you know? You’ve got actual Spanish families living their lives around you, not just vacation rental after vacation rental.

The villa itself sits right where you want it – close enough to hear the waves but not so close that you’re dealing with that constant salt spray on everything. I mean, the oceanfront part is real oceanfront, not some “ocean view if you crane your neck and squint” situation. From the main terrace, you’re looking straight out at the Atlantic, and on clear days (which, let’s be honest, is most days here) you can see La Gomera sitting there like a blue-gray shadow on the horizon. The setup inside feels like someone actually lives here sometimes – there’s proper kitchen equipment, not those flimsy vacation rental spatulas that break when you look at them wrong. The bedrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into each other, and the AC works properly, which… well, you’ll appreciate that in August.

What really got me was the little stuff. There’s decent water pressure in the showers, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and whoever manages this place clearly understands that people want to actually relax. The pool area isn’t huge, but it’s got that protected feeling – high enough walls that you’re not on display for the neighbors, but open enough that you don’t feel boxed in. And parking? Yeah, you’ve got it, which is more than I can say for half the places I’ve booked down here. The whole Amarilla Golf area is pretty quiet most of the time, though weekends can get a bit livelier when the locals come out for family gatherings at the nearby restaurants. If you’re the type who needs to be walking distance from everything, this might feel a bit removed – but honestly, that’s part of the charm. You’re a ten-minute drive from the TF-1 highway, so getting to Los Cristianos or up to Santa Cruz is totally doable, but you’re also tucked away enough that you can actually hear yourself think. I keep coming back to that 9.8 rating because it reflects something real – this isn’t just a pretty space, it’s a place where the details work, where you can settle in and not spend half your vacation dealing with broken this or missing that.
