Ocean View El Pris, by Nivariahost Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Ocean View El Pris, by Nivariahost, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this quiet corner of Tenerife. El Pris is one of those sleepy coastal villages that most tourists drive right through on their way to bigger resorts — but that’s exactly what makes this four-star property so special. The building sits perfectly positioned on Calle Jose Almenar, and you know what? The name doesn’t lie about those ocean views. From the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that you’ve found something the crowds haven’t discovered yet.

Location & Neighborhood

El Pris itself is basically a local secret — a tiny fishing village where you’ll see more Canarian families than tour groups. The hotel’s location means you’re literally steps from authentic seafood restaurants where locals actually eat, not the touristy places you’ll find in Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot a 9.5, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to the natural pools carved into the volcanic rock in about three minutes, and there’s something magical about having your morning coffee while watching fishing boats head out at dawn. Plus — and this matters more than you’d think — there’s free parking, which is honestly a godsend in the Canary Islands.

The Rooms

The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between refined comfort and authentic island character. My room had those floor-to-ceiling windows that actually deliver on the ocean view promise, and the sound of waves becomes this constant, soothing backdrop. The décor feels thoughtfully curated rather than cookie-cutter hotel standard — think clean lines with subtle nods to Canarian design. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details: proper blackout curtains (crucial when you want to sleep in after watching the sunset), a well-stocked kitchenette, and honestly, some of the most comfortable bedding I’ve encountered in this price range.

The Experience

This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find a massive pool complex or organized entertainment — and that’s precisely the point. The real draw is the immediate access to El Pris’s natural beauty and the genuine warmth of the Nivariahost team. They know the area inside and out, which means you’ll get recommendations for hidden hiking trails and family-run restaurants that you’d never find on your own. The recent guest rating of 9.1 for location really tells the story here — you’re perfectly positioned to explore the authentic side of Tenerife while still having upscale accommodations to return to each evening.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to Ocean View El Pris, by Nivariahost is that rare combination of tranquility and accessibility. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos to feel like you’re experiencing the real Canary Islands, but close enough to major attractions that day trips are totally manageable. The fact that couples particularly gravitate toward this spot makes perfect sense — there’s something inherently romantic about falling asleep to ocean sounds and waking up to unobstructed Atlantic views. It’s the kind of place where you actually relax, rather than just checking items off a sightseeing list.

Hotels near me in Tenerife offer convenient access to natural wonders, where guests can easily reach volcanic beaches, Loro Parque, and world-renowned attractions in Spain’s largest Canary Island.

Lovely to be by the ocean. Very quiet village but very close to Bajamar and Punto de hidalgo so plenty restaurants and bars nearby. Car needed.

  • Justas from Lithuania (9/10)

This flat in the very end of a quaint fishing village, overlooking the shores of Atlantic, is a perfect spot to relax. Has 2 balconies, one has direct view to the sea, other (from the bedroom) – side view to the sea. Sound of waves crashing ashore (the building is built literally on the edge of the ocean) really helped us to get a sound sleep.

  • Maxym from Germany (9/10)

We had a fantastic two-week stay at this apartment. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, offering a breathtaking panorama of the ocean and the peak of Mount Teide. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The local beach is well-equipped and allows for swimming even during big waves and strong currents. There are also many small, nice restaurants nearby.
Highly recommend it for a relaxing vacation!

  • Nikita from Ukraine (9/10)

The best place for cool rest

  • Fenglin from United Kingdom (9/10)

Great place to stay for a family. Very spacious with a seaview balcony for a ralex drink. With a small swimming pool and you can buy fresh fish every day from a fish shop, just downstairs. Need renting a car drive to south or other attractions. Very tidy and owner is very easy to contact and helpful. Recommend to anyone, who don't mind a bit driving every day!

  • Paulina from Poland (9/10)

Awesome view from the balcony, constant waves sound from most of rooms. Comfortable and fully equipped flat. Great location away from the crowds gives a true fishing village vibe. The ocean pool few steps from the apartment is great place to spend time. Check in and out went smoothly, despite being totally remotely – the crew was very responsive 🙂 I will come back when next time in Tenerife.

  • Dragana from Slovenia (9/10)

    Cosy appartment, great view

  • Milen from United Kingdom (9/10)

    Beautiful sea side.

  • Tarja_s from Finland (9/10)

We loved everything about this place. Located in non-touristical fishermen's village, it offers amazing views to the ocean and volcano. You can hear the ocean when lying in the bed 🙂 The check-in instructions were explicit, the hosts sent the videos with all the details. Kitchen has everything you need. There's also been washing machine but we did not use it.
