You know what struck me first about this place? The address – Calle Elcano in Radazul – honestly, I had to look it up before my trip because it’s not exactly on the typical tourist radar. But that’s actually what makes it brilliant. This little coastal spot is about 20 minutes north of Santa Cruz, and once you’re there, you’ll understand why locals keep it somewhat quiet.

The apartment itself lives up to that “ocean view” promise, though I’d say it’s more like ocean-everything-view. The terrace is where you’ll spend most of your time – I mean, why wouldn’t you when you can watch the Atlantic roll in while having your morning coffee? The setup is surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect from a 4-star place, and honestly, the 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days. The host clearly knows what they’re doing; check-in was smooth, and they left those little touches that show they actually care (good coffee, local recommendations written on actual paper, not some generic printout).

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – Radazul isn’t a party destination, so if you’re looking for peace without being completely isolated, this hits that sweet spot. The terrace faces west, which means incredible sunsets but also means it can get pretty warm in the afternoon during summer months. There’s decent parking nearby, though you’ll want to ask about the best spots since the streets can be a bit narrow for larger cars. The beach is literally a few minutes’ walk down a somewhat steep path – totally doable, but pack light if you’re hauling beach gear. One thing that surprised me was how well-stocked the kitchen was; I actually cooked a few meals there, which saved money and let me try some local ingredients from the small market in town. Sure, it’s not luxury resort fancy, but it’s got that authentic Canarian feel that you just can’t get in the bigger tourist areas.

  We have been coming to Tenerife twice a year for the last three years and this is by far the best experience that we have ever had. The appartement is spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and has amazing views. The beds are really comfortable too. It was also very calm and quiet. However, the hosts were what made this holiday so special for us. They always responded to our messages and gave clear instructions to get to the property. We had an emergency when leaving the appartement for the airport and they saved the day for us. We feel very indebted to them. Thank you so much.
