When you first walk up to Calle Cruz Verde 24, it doesn’t scream luxury hotel – it’s tucked into this residential street that feels more like where locals actually live than where tourists usually end up. But that’s actually what makes it special, you know? You’re about a ten-minute walk from the main plaza and all the touristy stuff, but when you come back in the evening, it’s quiet. Like, actually quiet – not that fake quiet where you can still hear traffic all night.

The “ático” part isn’t just marketing speak either. These are proper penthouse-style suites, and I mean… the views are ridiculous. On a clear day (which, let’s be honest, is most days in Tenerife), you can see straight out to the ocean and catch glimpses of the port activity without being close enough to hear it. The interiors have this sleek, dark aesthetic that matches the obsidian name – lots of black stone and glass that somehow doesn’t feel cold or sterile. There’s something about the way they’ve designed these spaces that feels more like a really nice apartment than a hotel room. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which matters if you want to grab some of those amazing local tomatoes from the market and not eat every meal out.

What really sold me on this place was the little things that show they get it. The check-in process is smooth – no standing around in a crowded lobby because, well, there isn’t really a traditional lobby. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of Santa Cruz (honestly, it’s tricky everywhere in the old town), but they’ll give you the real talk about where to park without getting a ticket. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this tiny local bar around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. And here’s the thing about that 9.4 rating – it feels genuine. This isn’t one of those places trying to be everything to everyone. It’s doing one thing really well: giving you a sophisticated, comfortable base in Santa Cruz that feels more like living there than just passing through. The price point reflects the quality too, but you’re getting actual space and style, not just paying for a fancy brand name. If you’re the type who’d rather have a beautiful, quiet spot to decompress after exploring the island instead of being right in the thick of everything, this place gets it right.

  Die zentrale Lage im 6ten Stock am zentralen Platz in Santa Cruz ist toll. Man kann rausgehen und ist mittendrin im Leben. Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ein Spaziergang zum Hafen in 5 Minuten
