Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about O7 Tenerife? It’s tucked away on La Haya street, which honestly took me a minute to find – but that’s actually a good thing because it means you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos that hits the main drag in Puerto de la Cruz. The whole area feels more residential, more authentic, if you know what I mean. When I walked in, the lobby had this modern but not-trying-too-hard vibe that immediately made me think they’d renovated recently. The staff at check-in spoke decent English (always a relief) and actually seemed to know the neighborhood well enough to give real recommendations, not just the standard tourist traps.
The rooms are solid four-star territory – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but everything works and feels clean. I mean, the bathroom was properly updated with good water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in older Spanish hotels), and the AC actually cooled the room down, which is crucial if you’re visiting during summer. The balcony views depend on which side you get, but even the street-facing ones aren’t bad since La Haya isn’t exactly a busy road. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing – Puerto de la Cruz can get pretty lively at night, especially during festival season, but I slept fine. The WiFi was fast enough for video calls, though it did cut out once or twice during my stay.
Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – you’re about a seven-minute walk to the old town center and maybe ten to the black sand beaches of Playa Jardín. But more importantly, you’re right in the sweet spot where you can easily walk to those little local bars on Calle Quintana where the tapas are actually good and reasonably priced. There’s a small supermarket literally around the corner, which saved me multiple times when I needed water or snacks. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, but there’s street parking nearby and a public garage about two blocks away – just factor that into your budget if you’re renting a car. Honestly, for a 7.9 rating, this place delivers exactly what you’d expect. It’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable, well-located, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work. If you’re the type who wants to experience Puerto de la Cruz without paying resort prices or dealing with massive hotel complexes, O7 hits that middle ground perfectly.

The location was greatKittson from United Kingdom (7/10)
The location was fantastic for what we wanted! And the views around the property were stunning. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s not in the centre of town this is the perfect place to be.
You have the perfect view of Mount Teide from the poolside, along with some stunning parakeets that fly around the palm trees. It’s the perfect place to relax.
There is a pool however it’s not heated and was very very cold, but of course we can’t complain too much about a very refreshing cold swim on a hot day.Aidan from Ireland (7/10)
The hotel was clean and bedroom comfortable. The location was good. A steep walk down to the centre and beech but it was fine.
Dimka from Ireland (9/10)

Wai from Belgium (8/10)
Great views from the balcony for the superior room, could see both the sea as well as Mt Teide. The room was also newly renovated so it looked modern and comfortable. Providing a jug for the self-service water fountains on each floor was an innovative and environmentally-friendly feature. The location was very close to the bus station, making it convenient to visit all attractions such as Santa Cruz, Mt Teide, etc.
